Full day Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Enjoy breakfast at 6:30 a.m., and at 7:00 a.m., set off for a full day of game viewing in the park. Spend the day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five, hippos, and Nile crocodiles. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park under the shade of a croton tree, overlooking the expansive landscape. Witness the spectacular natural event of the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras migrate from the Serengeti in search of water and pasture, followed by savanna predators like lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
Maasai Mara to Serengeti via Isebania
Serengeti National Park - Have breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and check out with a packed lunch. Drive to the Isebania border of Tanzania, arriving around midday. Complete the hour-long border crossing process. Meet your Tanzanian driver/guide and chef. Begin the game drive in Serengeti en route to your accommodation. Enjoy dinner and relaxation. Sleep in provided tents with sleeping bags. The camp area is secure, protected by armed guards, and shared with other tourists. All meals are included in the Tanzania safari, prepared by your private chef.
Full day in Serengeti National Reserve
Serengeti National Park - Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. followed by a full-day game drive in Serengeti. Enjoy a picnic lunch at 1:00 p.m., then return to the base camp at 4:00 p.m. for dinner prepared by the chef. The Serengeti hosts the world’s largest animal migration, known as the “Great Migration,” with over 1.7 million wildebeest, 500,000 zebras, and 200,000 antelopes traveling from the Ndutu region of southern Serengeti northward to Kenya’s Masai Mara. The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word “siringit,” meaning “endless plains.”
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Crater - Depart Serengeti at 7:00 a.m. for a game drive en route to Ngorongoro Park. Camp in the evening at Ngorongoro Crater at the Simba campsite. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, forming a stunning bowl of about 265 square kilometers with sides up to 600 meters deep, home to approximately 30,000 animals. The Crater rim, over 2,200 meters high, has its own climate. From this high point, observe the tiny shapes of animals on the crater floor below. Clouds often hang around the rocky rim, and it’s one of the few places in Tanzania where it can be chilly at night.
Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Begin a full-day tour of Ngorongoro at 7:00 a.m., concluding at 3:00 p.m. Depart to spend the night at Lake Manyara National Park’s Jambo campsite. Lake Manyara National Park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. The park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions and large elephant herds. The lake shores, adorned with pink flamingos, attract over 400 bird species, many of which are waterfowl or migrants. Large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Maasai giraffe, and impala roam the lake shores and forested valley slopes.
Lake Manyara to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park - Embark on an early morning half-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park starting at 7:00 a.m. Depart for Arusha, arriving around 4:00 p.m. Check in at Venus Premier Hotel for a relaxing dinner. Bed and breakfast are included.
Arusha to Nairobi
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - Enjoy breakfast at 6:30 a.m., then depart for Nairobi on a morning shuttle leaving at 7:00 a.m. Arrive in Nairobi around 3:00 p.m. with onward drop-off to the airport or a hotel within Nairobi.
