Rift Valley Province - The guide will meet and pick up the operator from their hotel, B&B, or residence to begin the journey to Maasai Mara. Along the way, there will be a stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint for a photoshoot, allowing the operator to enjoy the breathtaking views of this remarkable natural wonder. Local guides will be available to answer questions and provide more information about the various features of the escarpment. The journey to Maasai Mara will then continue.
Mount Longonot National Park - Relax comfortably while traveling through the stunning Great Rift Valley, enjoying panoramic views of two iconic volcanic formations. Mount Longonot, with its dramatic crater and rugged slopes, and the lesser-known yet equally captivating Mount Suswa, famous for its double crater system and surrounding lava caves, offer a stunning introduction to Kenya’s diverse volcanic landscapes as the operator makes their way toward Narok Town, the gateway to the Maasai Mara.
Sekenani - Interact with the locals and take memorable photos at the main entrance to the reserve while the guide handles the tickets at the ticketing booth.
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Upon entry, enjoy the first encounter with diverse plants and wildlife on the way to the accommodation. Arrive in time for check-in and lunch, followed by a brief rest to escape the scorching sun.
Afterwards, take some time to rest and rejuvenate while waiting for the hot afternoon sun to cool off. Later in the late afternoon, head out for the first game drive in the bush. This is an excellent time to catch a glimpse of wild animals as they come out to graze or hunt. Be on the lookout for predators like lions as they prowl the plains in search of food. As the first day concludes, capture beautiful shots of the African sunset against the backdrop of wildlife on the way back to the lodge.
Maasai Mara - Full Day
Mara River - Start the day with a hearty breakfast in preparation for a full-day game drive, then gather accessories and venture into the wild. This day is the busiest, and the operator should expect to see all the Big Five and witness thrilling hunting experiences as predator and prey engage in a survival battle.
Later in the day, enjoy a picnic lunch under a tree, occasionally glancing at the beautiful wildlife sightings.
Mara River - After lunch, head to the banks of the hippo and crocodile-infested Mara River to see these majestic beasts in their natural habitat and possibly witness a wildebeest crossing on a lucky day.
The day concludes with a late afternoon trip back to the lodge for a swim or rest, with stops to take a few photos while combating exhaustion.
