Maasai Mara National Reserve - (Complimentary airport pick-up is available for all guests arriving by flight on the morning of Day 1. The pick-up time is scheduled for 6 am from the airport to the departure point in Nairobi city.) Guests will be collected from their hotel or the airport and begin the journey to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where they can enjoy a stunning view of the Rift Valley floor. Arrival is in time for lunch. In the afternoon, after checking in, guests will depart for a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. They will return to the camp for a delicious buffet dinner, followed by a restful night at their chosen lodge or camp.

Viewpoint - There will be a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint on Mai Mahiu Road, offering a breathtaking view of the Rift Valley floor. The Rift Valley system, formed 5 million years ago, extends from the Red Sea through Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. This active volcanic area features fascinating elements, including over eight lakes, dormant and active volcanic mountains, hot springs, and geysers like the Olkaria geothermal wells and Lake Bogoria geysers.

From this elevated location, visitors can see the volcanic Mt. Suswa and Mt. Longonot, with their lush craters and the rolling green Rift Valley floor. The view is truly spectacular, so be sure to capture plenty of photos.

The phenomenal wildebeest migration, a spectacular event unique to Masai Mara, is considered a wonder of the world.

Optional: In the evening, visit the local Masai village for a cultural tour at USD 20. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people. Overnight stays at the Masai village can be arranged upon request.

A balloon safari, priced at USD 380 per person, can be organized early in the morning on this day, followed by the regular program. The Mara is home to perhaps the most spectacular natural event: the great migration. This annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) is in search of water and pasture. Following them are the savanna’s predators – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
