Well organized private tour - Very well organized tour. Good communication before the tour, timely pick-up, good driving to and back, also good guide on the mountain. I was satisfied with this tour.

Mount Kenya in a Day - I love to hike and wanted to get outside of Nairobi for something unique, so this Mount Kenya day hike felt like the perfect choice. The four-hour drive to the park was scenic, and getting that first glimpse of the mountain before starting the trek was special. The trail itself was moderately challenging - steady uphill on the way out and all downhill on the return. I chose not to complete the full hike because the path became extremely muddy past a certain point, and the heavy cloud cover made it difficult to fully appreciate the views. Even so, I really enjoyed the workout, the chance to explore a different part of Kenya, and the company of my guide, Elijah. Overall, it was a satisfying outdoor adventure despite the weather. (A few days later, I did the Ngong Hills hike with a ranger and it was beautiful. To be fair, I got lucky with the weather. It was a clear, breezy day so the views were incredible. And it was also much closer to Nairobi so I highly recommend this hike if you're set on a hiking experience!)

Got the experience I wanted to have and that's what counts - Dur to insufficient acclimatization, i decided against going as far as the moorland I waz hoping to reach (it was also getting cloudier and we could not rule out rain. But Elijah the guide was very understanding and appreciated that I was responsible and did not push my limits. His company more than made up for turning back early, and he and the also excllent driver Antony were very understanding and due to the early return we were able to see not only some wildlife but the very beautiful and not frequently visited (due to the tricky access path) Percival Waterfall. Only thing I would have done differently was a route that involved going down rather than up. The service from Bush Pumba was five-star; the rating reflects my reach exceeding my grasp. But I regret nothing.
