After a 4-hour drive, there will be a stop in Mtito Andei for a bathroom break and refueling. The journey continues with a 1-hour drive to Voi town, where the route branches towards the Taita/Taveta road. On both sides, Tsavo West National Park can be seen, leading to the Taita Hills Resort and Spa for lunch. A variety of delicious dishes are served in the main dining area, providing a delightful atmosphere. After lunch, the trip proceeds to the renowned Saltlick Safari Lodge for check-in, followed by a game viewing drive. The day concludes with a delightful buffet dinner at the lodge, offering a breathtaking view of the floodlit waterhole, providing a close-up view of the wildlife, and a restful evening.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - An early morning game drive is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., exploring the expansive Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. This private sanctuary is conveniently located next to Tsavo West, making it easily accessible. The park’s landscape is more lush compared to Tsavo, and the game viewing is equally impressive. While the sanctuary offers excellent bird watching, its main attraction is the larger animals, which the rangers are adept at locating. It’s not uncommon for safari-goers to spot over a dozen species during a game drive. In the early morning, the big cats are particularly active, increasing the chances of sightings. At 9 a.m., guests return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by departure from the park with a drop-off at the hotel or airport. End of Tour.
