Kochi Airport/Railway Station - Munnar - Travel time 3.5hrs

Valara Waterfalls - Upon arrival at Kochi Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station, an executive will warmly welcome and assist you. You will then embark on a journey to Munnar, approximately 125 km away, which takes around 3.5 hours by car. En route, you can enjoy lunch at Onnukal, where both vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants with restrooms are available. After lunch, continue to Munnar, stopping to admire the Valara Waterfalls. Spend some time there before proceeding to Munnar to check into your resort. Enjoy leisure time and relaxation at the resort. Overnight stay at the resort.

Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park - Located 10 km from Munnar town, this mountain area is home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr mountain goat. Entry permits can be obtained through online booking. More details are available.

Note: The main attraction at Rajamalai is the Nilgiri Tahr, and the hilltop offers a great viewpoint. The hike is approximately 700-900 meters, so those with breathing difficulties should avoid it. If you are not interested in the Nilgiri Tahr or the viewpoint, this trip can be skipped. Rajamalai is closed from February 1 to March 31 each year for the Nilgiri Tahr breeding season.

Echo Point - Near Mattupetty Dam, this spot allows you to hear your voice echo back.

Mattupetty Dam - The dam and its park offer a relaxing environment. Speedboat trips with full safety measures are available for those interested.

Kundala Dam Lake - A picturesque dam en route, ideal for photography.

Your second day in Munnar is filled with sightseeing. Afterwards, enjoy shopping for Ayurvedic products, spices, coffee, tea, and more. Return to the resort for an overnight stay.

Munnar to Alleppey Houseboat - travel time 5hrs

Punnamada Lake - Experience a stay on a houseboat today. The drive covers approximately 175 km and takes around 5 hours. It is recommended to start at 07:30 hrs to comfortably reach the houseboat by 12:30 hrs. There are a few viewpoints along the way from Munnar to the houseboat.

Arrive and check into the houseboat by 13:00 hrs. The houseboat will cruise through the best canals in Alleppey from 13:00 hrs to 17:30 hrs, visiting:

• Punnamada Kayal – famous for the annual Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
• SNDP Canal – offers views of local villages, temples, and more.
• Pamba River – a 150 ft wide river connecting both sides of Alleppey.
• Irumbanam Thod – a narrow canal.

At 14:00 hrs, enjoy lunch at Meenapalli Kayal, a small lake in the middle of the Alleppey backwaters. After lunch, the houseboat continues its journey until 17:30 hrs, passing through Kainakari Village, Venattukadu, and the R Block and C Block canals, which are the main attractions. At 17:30 hrs, the houseboat will halt at H Block for an overnight stay.

Evening Options and Activities - Enjoy fishing in the lake and backwaters. Most houseboats are equipped with fishing rods, and you are likely to catch small fish.

Note: If you arrive late by an hour or more, there is no need to worry as it is a private boat and will wait for you. Typically, houseboats have a one-hour lunch break. If you arrive by 14:00 hrs, the lunch break will be skipped to maximize sightseeing.

2. If you arrive late, boats booked through Srees Tours will not stop for lunch.

If check-in is after 14:00 hrs, the lunch break is skipped, and the trip is extended until 18:00 hrs and the next day until 09:45-10:00 hrs if possible.
16. Smoking on houseboats is prohibited.
17. Liquor is not provided by the service provider, but guests may bring their own. Srees Tours can provide liquor on the boat if ordered in advance, with extra service charges.
18. Houseboat owners have designated night halting places, which cannot be changed if guests dislike the location.

Kainakary South - Kainakari is a small village in Alleppey. While cruising on a houseboat, you can experience numerous canals, paddy fields, village life, and local culture.

Kuttamangalam - The Kuttamangalam Canal is a narrow canal, about 12 ft wide. An open country boat with a guide is arranged to explore this narrow canal, as covered boats cannot navigate it. A one-hour trip through this canal offers an unforgettable experience.

Kuppapuram Boat Jetty - Kuppapuram is a small area on the banks of the Pamba River, featuring local shops, massage centers, and fish shops.

Kainakary - A charming small lake where a lunch break is taken.

Mattancherry Palace - Also known as the Dutch Palace, it was built by the Portuguese in 1557 and presented to the Raja of Kochi. The Dutch renovated it in 1663.

Vasco da Gama Square - The Vasco da Gama Square, with its Chinese fishing nets, is a legacy of early visitors to the Malabar Coast. Erected between 1350 and 1450 AD by traders from the court of Kublai Khan, it is the best place to watch the nets being lowered into the sea and the catch being brought in.

Other attractions include Kodar House, Bolgatty Palace, Pierce Leslie Bungalow, and Santa Cruz Basilica, all located in the same area. After sightseeing in Fort Kochi, head directly to Kochi Airport, approximately a 45-minute drive in normal traffic, which may take up to 1.5 hours during heavy traffic.
