Conor Pass - Conor Pass ascends 456 feet from the sea, acting as a corridor between the Sliabh Mish Range and Mount Brandon. It holds the title of Ireland’s highest mountain road. This serpentine, alpine path provides stunning vistas for those daring enough to navigate the steep road where Blackface Mountain sheep outnumber vehicles. The summit of the pass reveals breathtaking views of Brandon Bay to the north and Dingle Bay to the south. As the journey continues, the scenery shifts to a deep glacial cirque, adorned with splendid alpine lakes and waterfalls. Many travelers bypass this challenging route, but with Mossie’s Tours, you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

Slea Head Drive - At the meeting point of the Dingle Peninsula and the Atlantic Ocean, the Slea Head Drive meanders along the rugged coastline. This 30 km (18m) segment of the renowned Wild Atlantic Way has been recognized by National Geographic as one of the world’s most scenic spots. Relax and let our expert drivers guide you through this stunning journey, discovering famous landmarks like Ventry Beach, ancient ringforts, and beehive huts, along with breathtaking views of the Blaskets and Skellig Islands.
Even Hollywood couldn’t resist Slea Head’s charm. Some of Hollywood’s greatest epic films, such as Ryan’s Daughter, Far and Away, and Star Wars, have chosen this area as their backdrop.
Explore the ethereal beauty with Mossie’s Tours.
- Fahan Beehive Huts - Among the most intriguing features of the Dingle Peninsula are the Fahan Beehive Huts. These drystone corbelled Iron Age huts are named for their distinctive shape. The Fahan group consists of 19 subterranean and 18 standing clochans (beehive huts). Our guides will take you through the inscribed stones, sculptured crosses, and earth ring forts. If you listen closely, you might hear the songs of our ancestors carried by the wind.
And perhaps, if fortunate, you might hold a baby lamb.
-
Coumeenoole Beach - Local fishermen used to bring their currach boats onto the rocks at Coumeenole’s small tidepool beach before climbing the slope to the homes beyond. That was until 1968, when the sets for Ryan’s Daughter, the epic film by David Lean, began construction. To accommodate the camera, sound, and other filmmaking equipment, the long boat ramp was expanded and paved. These enhancements remain today.
-
Dunmore - A brief pause will allow for a leg stretch before the easy ascent to Dunmore Head’s summit, one of Europe’s most westerly points. A solitary Ogham stone, a relic from our ancient past, stands watch over the sea like a sentinel. Take a deep breath and gaze down at the site where the Santa Maria de la Rosa and San Juan, two Spanish Armada ships, sank in 1588. Perhaps a pod of dolphins will appear, surfacing and peeking above the water.
