On the way back, the tour circles Little Skellig, offering an incredible opportunity for water-level photography of one of the world’s largest gannet colonies.

While most Skellig tours depart from Portmagee, this journey begins in Kenmare at 7:30 am, followed by a picturesque 50-minute drive to meet the licensed boat operator.

On the water, participants will have the opportunity to closely observe the Little Skellig gannet colony, home to over 30,000 birds. On Skellig Michael, puffins nest just meters from the path, allowing ample time and expert guidance to capture stunning images, rather than mere snapshots from a crowded tour.
