Wonderful day on the water - It is an intimate experience with small groups and the people running it are very attentive and very informing and let you ask any questions and give you a good and concise answer. Even though it was raining and cold we had a wonderful experience and well worth it. They provide all the rain gear and we didn't really get wet.

This family run business... - This family run business knows so much about the marine and wildlife. We were lucky enough to see so much on our adventure, including an Orca pod. I cannot say enough positive comments about the whole experience!

Unforgettable Alaska Ocean Adventure with Knowledgable, Friendly Guides - We had an absolutely amazing experience with Out To Sea Expedition Company on their Alaska Ocean Wilderness Expedition! From start to finish, everything was perfect. We went out on a comfortable zodiac with Eric and Delaney, who were both incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. They went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable for everyone — especially our 6-year-old, who they treated with so much patience and enthusiasm. We saw an incredible variety of sea life and learned so much about the Ketchikan area along the way. It’s clear that Eric and Delaney truly love this place and are passionate about sharing that love while also being faithful stewards of the ocean for future generations. This was the highlight of our trip to Alaska, and we can’t recommend it enough!

Great day out on the water! - Flexible with our delay shuttling over from our off shore anchored cruise ship. Offered refund/cancellation due to poor weather but we decided to continue. Very patient with my children. Great education and attitude. Even walked us into town to connect with our next excursion. Couldn't be a nicer group of folks. Wonderful experience! Had plenty of gear to keep us as dry as possible in the rain given the open boat. We saw lots of seals, bald eagles, a humpback, crabs and held a starfish. Very accommodating.

Small group ocean adventure! - We took a zodiac boat out to see what we could find. And boy did Delaney and Eric find us some fun stuff! This is a small group excursion. It was us and one other couple. Very personal experience. Eric and Delaney were super nice! Our highlights were humpback whales bubble feeding and a bald eagle sitting over its nest with an eaglet looking out too. The day was beautiful, but had it been cooler or raining, Eric and Delaney had us all outfitted up for any weather. I would definitely recommend this excursion, and as a matter of fact, we are coming back next year and going to do it again.

Don't book a cruise ship tour when you can go with these guys! - A great experience overall! The only downside was that there weren't longer tour options allowing for further exploration. As it were, we saw a lot of wildlife in 2 hours. As far as mammals, we watched and photographed 2 Humpback Whales bubble net feeding, Harbor Porpoises, Harbor Seals, and Sitka Black-tailed Deer. We also saw a number of birds and as a birder, I was happy to gain a few more "life list" birds. We saw many of the common birds like eagles, crows, ravens and gulls, but we also saw some birds that are of higher interest to birders such as Black Turnstone, Marbled Murrelet, Pigeon Guillemot, and Common Murre. Eric was our captain and Jenny our onboard naturalist. They were both great and very enjoyable to be around. Jenny was able to answer any questions thrown at her and Eric was great at maneuvering the boat always being mindful of the safety of the whales and his crew. He also was mindful of the placement of the sun for photography purposes which is always a nice touch for photogs like me. Delaney though not on the actual adventure was my main point of contact and she was also in the shop before the tour. I got there earlier than everyone else and had some great conversation with Eric, Delaney and Jenny and can tell you that they are great people to hang with. I would not hesitate to get out on the water with them again if given a chance. Thanks guys for the adventure and for putting up with the demands of a traveling birder!

Excellent tour - Delaney and Eric are local business owners. They captain the ship, and from the beginning, you could see they were focused on safety and also care for the environment, including the animals. The trip was part educational, and part experience. Both Delaney and Eric are extremely knowledgeable about the waters And about the wildlife around it. We saw humpback whales, Eagles, sea lions, and sea otters, and also crabs and fish as part of a volunteer project they are doing for a national environmental organization. The boat was clean., And Well maintained. We were provided with plenty of waterproof gear.. we had a wonderful afternoon and would recommend this tour Highly to other groups. Thank you Delaney and Eric!
