Totem Heritage Center - The totem poles at the Heritage Center were crafted by artisans during the peak of totem pole carving on the Northwest Coast, from the mid to late 19th century. They are preserved as they were discovered at the village sites. Although all the poles are significantly weathered, much of their original detail remains, showcasing the skill and sophistication of their creators. Some even retain traces of original paint.
