Must see!! - So much fun, very relaxing atmosphere, solid instructor, and the cafe is a whole vibe! When traveling it seems like activities are always commercialized and you are run through very quickly, this isn’t one of those money grab activities, you get the real deal here with zero pressure and all the atmosphere! Definitely a must if you are in the area!

Sew Much Fun! - Savannah was incredibly knowledgeable, and I loved the opportunity to learn beadwork from another Indigenous artist. As a visual and hands-on learner, I appreciated how she took the time to demonstrate the stitching techniques and then guided me through practicing them immediately. She led a large class with patience and care, meeting each of us where we were and offering personalized help as needed. She tailored her approach to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring everyone felt supported. By the end of the class, we all successfully learned the two-needle beading method, a technique I had always wanted to learn. I highly recommend any classes Savannah offers, as she is a multidisciplinary artist with so much to share. Her class seamlessly intertwined art, stories, humor, and culture. During the class, we all learned how to bead one of Savannah’s original pumpkin designs, and I think it’s safe to say we all had a smashing time!

Knowledgable and Inspiring Art Educator - Savannah LeCornu’s visit to Shinnecock Indian Nation and Ma’s House was a meaningful and inspiring experience for our community. Her workshop, Upon This Ground: Beadwork with Savannah LeCornu, offered participants a welcoming introduction to beadwork through a thoughtful, hands-on approach. Savannah shared her knowledge of the two-needle flat stitch method with patience and generosity, creating an environment where both beginners and experienced makers felt comfortable learning and creating. Her connection to her Tsimshian, Haida, and Nimiipuu heritage came through in the care she brought to the craft and in the conversations she encouraged throughout the session. The program was engaging, accessible, and deeply appreciated by everyone who attended. We are grateful for the opportunity to host Savannah and look forward to future collaborations.
