• Herring Cove - After leaving downtown, we’ll drive to one of the two Totem Parks in Ketchikan. Following a 20-minute walk among the Totems, we’ll proceed to Herring Cove for Black Bear viewing. We stay in touch with other operators about black bear sightings, and if there haven’t been any recent sightings, we’ll skip Herring Cove and spend more time at other attractions.
• Saxman Native Village - Saxman Native Village boasts the largest standing Totems in the world, with some over 100 years old. The easy walking trails make it a great place to immerse yourself in Native Heritage and appreciate the craftsmanship behind these stunning pieces of Native art.
• Creek Street - Known for its rich history, uniqueness, and Instagram-worthy views, Creek Street was Ketchikan’s red-light district in the mid-1920s, with over 20 brothels lining the creek. The “street” is actually a boardwalk on pilings. As you explore, you’ll find local shops with art, seals, and salmon swimming up to the “fish ladder” just above the boardwalk, which the city of Ketchikan built to help salmon navigate the rushing waters of Creek Street.

A much-loved stop on our circuit is Creek Street, famed for the sight of spawning salmon and assorted unique shops where you can pick up the ideal souvenir. The creek’s colourful past involving brothels, pubs, the fish ladder, and the symbolic married man’s trail is a few of the historical draws that make it an essential stop on your itinerary.
