- Totem Heritage Center - This location features totems, native carvings, informative kiosks, ancient poles, and the chance to hear the legend of Fog Woman. Enjoy stories and insights into local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles as you journey from one site to another.
- Thomas Basin - Travel down East Street to overlook Thomas Basin and explore some of the last wooden dock structures in Ketchikan, Alaska. If the weather permits, there is an opportunity for a large landscape or whatever captures the imagination. Learn about commercial fishing and the town’s history while capturing favorite photos.
- Potlatch Totem Park - This site offers various attractions, including a totem carving building, a traditional Native Clan House, a dugout canoe, a gift shop, antique cars, and a Russian Museum. While most of the photography techniques taught are applicable to cell phones, point-and-shoots, and DSLRs, some instructions are specifically designed for DSLR users.
Photography techniques covered for both DSLR and cell phone/point-and-shoot users include composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, and macro photography.
