• Creek Street - This Historic Red Light District, where both men and salmon once gathered, now hosts a variety of shops and attractions, offering numerous photo opportunities. Enjoy stories and insights into local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles as you explore each site.
• Harris Street Bridge - At Harris Street Bridge, there is a chance to discuss the use of backgrounds and foregrounds. During salmon spawning season, witness nature up close.
• Totem Heritage Center - Featuring totems, native carvings, informative kiosks, ancient poles, and the legend of Fog Woman, this site offers rich cultural stories and insights into local history, economy, and lifestyles.
• Thomas Basin - Journey down East Street to overlook Thomas Basin and discover some of Ketchikan, Alaska’s last wooden dock structures. Weather permitting, capture expansive landscapes or whatever inspires. Learn about commercial fishing and the town’s history while taking memorable photos.
• Potlatch Totem Park - This location features attractions such as a totem carving building, a traditional Native Clan House, a dugout canoe, a gift shop, antique cars, and a Russian Museum. The Ketchikan Photo Safari offers an enjoyable, intimate 3-hour shore excursion tailored for travelers with limited time who seek stunning photos, captivating history, and a richer insight into Alaska. Accompanied by a professional photography guide, groups of 2–9 guests will explore Ketchikan’s most picturesque and culturally important sites, including a stop at Potlatch Park.
