The Statue of Unity is a tribute to the life of Sardar Patel, an exemplary figure of unity and leadership. This towering statue is situated in a breathtaking location facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam. It majestically stands on Sadhu-Bet Island in the Narmada River, at Kevadia, District Rajpipla in Gujarat, India, with the stunning Vindhyachal and Satpuda Mountain Ranges as its backdrop. The statue is rapidly becoming one of the nation’s premier tourist destinations.
- Valley of Flowers - The Valley of Flowers spans 600 acres, stretching 6 kilometers from Vindhyachal and 11 kilometers on the Satpuda side. Starting with 48,000 plants in 2016, it now boasts 2,400,000 plants. The valley features five unique thematic parks-gardens: Garden of Senses & Panchatatva Garden, Green Energy & Upcycling Park, Sardar Park, Butterfly Garden, and Adventure Park. Additionally, numerous photo booths and selfie points have been established to capture memories of the visit. Two beautifully situated lotus ponds further enhance the visitor experience.
- Sardar Sarovar Dam - The Sardar Sarovar Dam is the third tallest concrete dam (163 meters) in India, following Bhakra (226 meters) in Himachal Pradesh and Lakhwar (192 meters) in Uttar Pradesh. In terms of concrete volume for gravity dams, it ranks as the second-largest globally, with a total volume of 6.82 million cubic meters, surpassed only by the Grand Coulee Dam in the USA, which has a total volume of 8.0 million cubic meters. This dam, with a spillway discharge capacity of 85,000 cubic meters per second (3 million cubic feet per second), ranks third worldwide, following Gazenba (113,000 cubic meters per second) in China and Tucurri (100,000 cubic meters per second) in Brazil.
Visitors can enjoy a boat ride (at their own expense) at a specially designated spot upstream of the dam on the Narmada River. The one-hour boat ride takes visitors right up to the border of Maharashtra State.
