Following a lunch break, you’ll board the dive boat to explore Key Largo’s coral reef — the only living barrier reef in the continental US. Accompanied by your instructor, you’ll complete two guided reef dives, discovering coral formations, tropical fish, and marine life. The program concludes around 5 PM.
If sea conditions are unfavorable for boating, diving takes place at Jules’ Undersea Lodge lagoon — a protected mangrove lagoon with a distinctive underwater environment.
Participants must arrange their own transportation between the dive shop, pool site, and marina, which are located a few minutes apart.
It is important to avoid flying or traveling to high altitudes for at least 18 hours after diving — flights should be scheduled for the following day.
All participants must be proficient swimmers and complete a PADI medical questionnaire. A “yes” response to any question requires a signed doctor’s release.
