Chaturbhuj Temple is another remarkable architectural marvel, originally built to house idols now residing in the Ram Raja Temple. Additionally, the Laxmi Narayan Temple is a must-see, showcasing a unique blend of fort and temple architecture, with exquisite, well-preserved wall murals depicting mythological themes.
Orchha is also home to 14 cenotaphs or chhatris, located amidst beautifully landscaped gardens, serving as memorials to the rulers of Orchha.
- Jhansi - Proceed to Jhansi, a 30-minute drive from Orchha, located in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Jhansi was the site of India’s first war of independence in 1857, led by the courageous Queen Rani Laxmi Bai. Visit the Jhansi Fort and the Palace of Rani Laxmi Bai, now a museum. The Government Museum also features various historical artifacts, with the entire first floor dedicated to Rani Laxmi Bai.
