Arrive at Khasab harbor and board a traditional Omani dhow for a cruise into the breathtaking, scenic, and serene fjord, the Khor Ash Shimm, the longest fjord in the Musandam Peninsula. As the cruise progresses, observe the coastal villages and enjoy sightings of playful dolphins and various exotic marine life. The journey includes anchoring at the renowned Telegraph Island, a repeater station established in 1864 by the British to connect Bombay (India) with mainland Britain via an underwater and overland telegraphic cable through Basra in Iraq and Turkey. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling at Telegraph Island in the pristine and tranquil waters of the fjord. Lunch and refreshments are served onboard. Snorkeling equipment and towels are provided on the dhow. Refreshments, including tea, coffee, soft drinks, and cold drinks, are available on the dhow.
