Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Kigali - Upon arrival, guests will be greeted and transported to their hotel for an overnight stay in Kigali city.

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Nyungwe Forest National Park - After breakfast, guests will transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. En route, there will be an opportunity to visit Huye or Nyanza Museums to explore Rwandan history, followed by an overnight stay at Gisakura Lodge near Nyungwe Forest.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

Nyungwe Forest National Park - After breakfast, guests will enjoy nature walks in the forest to observe primates such as L’Hoest’s monkeys, vervet monkeys, and Colobus monkeys. Following lunch, an evening canopy walk offers close views of the treetops, birds, and other primates. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Nyungwe and Return to Kigali

Nyungwe Forest National Park - After breakfast, guests will board the safari vehicle for the return journey to Kigali, with lunch en route. If time permits, a Kigali city tour will include visits to genocide memorials and local craft markets like Caplaki Village.

Rwanda-Kigali-Arusha-Tanzania

Kigali - After an early breakfast, guests will transfer to Kigali International Airport for their flight to Arusha, Tanzania. Upon arrival in Arusha, English-speaking guides will welcome guests and lead a short city tour before an overnight stay at a hotel in Arusha.

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Tanzania - Guests will be picked up from Arusha and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, an afternoon game drive in the park will reveal its dramatic landscapes, including a vast soda lake at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including large elephant populations, unique tree-climbing lions, and flocks of flamingos.

Day 7: Lake Manyara to Serengeti Plains National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests will travel to Serengeti National Park via the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descending into the heart of the Serengeti, guests will explore the Seronera area, rich in wildlife and featuring the Seronera River. Lunch will be followed by an afternoon game drive.

Day 8: Serengeti Plains National Park

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests have the option to experience a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti Plains (available at an additional cost with prior arrangement). The morning game drive along the Sogore River Circuit offers potential sightings of lions, gazelles, ostriches, and cheetahs. A visit to the Visitor Centre provides wildlife displays and a gift shop. After a picnic lunch, the afternoon will include the Kopjes Circuit, known for attracting lions and large cobras.

Serengeti Plains National Park to Ngorongoro Crater, Conservation Area

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge, a site of significant anthropological discoveries. After lunch at the lodge, guests will descend into the crater for a half-day safari, observing a wide variety of wildlife, including predators and water birds at Lake Magadi.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater, Conservation Area to Arusha

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, guests will transfer back to Arusha. Upon arrival, lunch will be served, marking the end of the African safari adventure. Guests will then be transferred to the airport for departure.
