Lifetime experience - We had amazing 2 days visiting Kisoro and gorilla trekking in Uganda. Kawira Safaris organised our visa a few weeks in advance and then on day 1 we set off at 9am from Kigali. The drive takes around 4h + the boarder crossing which was smooth and took about 15min. We stopped for a coffee along the way. Once we arrived in Kisoro, the afternoon was spend just relaxing. Nights are pretty chilly but we asked for an extra blanket. The next day started at 6am - after driving for 30min, we arrived at the starting point for gorilla trekking and started the actual trek at 8am. We were so lucky to find gorillas after about an hour and then spent an hour with them. It was truly something amazing! And then we had a quick shower back at the lodge and drove back to Kigali
