Volcanoes National Park - Private transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

This morning, the driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Volcanoes National Park.

The trip covers approximately 106 km and will take between 2 to 3 hours.

Today, venture into the forest to track the endangered Golden Monkey. Enjoy an hour observing these playful monkey families in their natural habitat! This is a fantastic wildlife experience, as the funds from tourists contribute to research aimed at protecting this species and preserving their environment to prevent extinction.

This rare species is classified as endangered, with two troops of about 80 monkeys each, accustomed to tourist visits in the park. The trek to find the golden monkeys is similar to the gorilla trek, conducted in small groups of no more than six people, allowing an hour with the monkeys once located.

Musanze District - The starting point is a 15-minute transfer from central Musanze (add about 15 minutes from Kinigi). Here, the activity leader will provide a briefing by the riverside before you embark on the water. The initial section offers a flat and easy chance to learn how to steer your canoe as you drift gently downstream. After about 20-30 minutes, there will be a brief stop for additional instructions about the small rapid, where helmets are required. As you continue deeper into the countryside, you will be immersed in the sights and sounds of rural Rwanda.

Volcanoes National Park - Upon arrival, participants will be divided into groups of up to 8 people, possibly joined by other tourists, before being assigned a ranger. You will then drive a short distance to the trailhead, from where you will trek in the forest for approximately 1-3 hours to encounter the gorillas. The hour spent with these magnificent primates is an unforgettable experience. Please note that gorilla permits are purchased at additional costs depending on nationality.
