It’s a wonderful place to experience Kigali’s modern, relaxed vibe and observe how locals spend their day.
• Kigali - Starting from our meeting point at Norrsken House Kigali, we’ll embark on a walk towards the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial. Along the route, you’ll appreciate Kigali’s clean, well-organized streets and contemporary architecture. We’ll pass through bustling commercial areas, small local shops, and witness the everyday life of the city.

At the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial, we’ll take a moment to reflect on the history of the 10 Belgian soldiers who lost their lives at the onset of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The site includes a small museum and the preserved bullet-marked building where they made their final stand, providing a poignant insight into Rwanda’s past and its path to peace.

• Biryogo Car Free Food Street - Biryogo offers a wealth of experiences, and we’ll be there to enjoy it all! We’ll wander through its lively car-free zone, where locals gather at outdoor tea shops, the scent of grilled brochettes fills the air, and the streets are alive with activity. As we explore, we’ll navigate through stunning mural-covered streets, showcasing Kigali’s creativity and culture.

We’ll also visit the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, where you can learn about the community’s inspiring initiatives and browse locally crafted items. Whether it’s enjoying spiced Rwandan tea, sampling fresh juice, or simply soaking up the vibrant atmosphere, this stop will provide an authentic taste of Kigali’s social and cultural essence.

• Choose Kigali Art Gallery - Our final destination will be Choose Kigali Art Gallery, a breathtaking venue displaying contemporary Rwandan and African art. Here, you’ll explore beautifully curated exhibitions featuring paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works that celebrate the region’s creativity and talent. The gallery’s tranquil setting, with its elegant design and lush surroundings, offers the perfect place to reflect on the day’s experiences.

This will be our concluding point. From here, you can choose to walk back to Norrsken House Kigali, or if you prefer, we can assist in arranging a cab or motorcycle ride home.
