You will then cross into Uganda at the Cyanika border post. The drive continues through the nearby town of Kisoro and finally to Bwindi National Park. The trip should take approximately 4-5 hours. Arriving at Bwindi National Park in the early afternoon allows for optional activities such as hiking or visiting the local community.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, proceed to the Bwindi National Park gate for a briefing on the gorilla trek. The national park guide will provide an overview of what to expect during the trek. At this time, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek. You will likely be accompanied by other visitors. The gorilla trek duration can vary from a few hours to several hours, depending on the gorillas’ location within the forest. After the trek, return to Kigali, Rwanda. The drive from Bwindi National Park to Kigali is estimated to take 5 hours.
