Guests are offered a hands-on opportunity to prepare and cook this wholesome and nutritious dish using a traditional recipe passed down from the instructor’s grandmother. Participants will learn which vegetables to select and the best cut of lamb to use. At the end, everyone enjoys a lunch featuring the completed dish.
For those driving from Galway city to Kilcolgan village, take the first left after O’Donoghues Bar. After a few kilometers, you’ll reach a T junction; turn left, then take the first right after crossing the bridge. The instructor’s house is the last one in the estate, distinguished by a purple door.

Galway Cookery Classes
Input Galway Cookery Classes into GOOGLE MAPS (not Apple maps). Make sure it is Dunkellin, KILCOLGAN, Galway. Upon arrival, please park in the driveway. If needed, we do offer bus stop pickup. Pickup and drop off is €10 total. MESSAGE ME IF PICKUP IS NEEDED!!

Galway(‘s best) Cookery Classes - This was our first ever cooking class and she wanted me to take more! Kate was super patient and also knowledgeable in cooking. Both her and her husband were hilarious. She showed us love and care and treated us like family! Would recommend 100%

A must do experience in Galway! - Kate welcomed us into her beautiful home in the Galway countryside and shared her wonderful recipes with us. We made a traditional Irish stew, bread and scones. Absolutely delish and a whole lot of fun. Thanks Kate for giving us a truly unforgettable experience xx

A Delicious Experience - We had a good experience at Kate's Kitchen. Kate was kind and patient, and we appreciated her approach. We will definitely recommend the class to others looking for a fun and educational experience.
Our favorite was the bread! She encouraged us to try and bake the spelt bread, which she explained makes diggestion easier, and it was so delicious!

Cooking class with friends - This class was fun and informative. Stew tasted amazing. Environment was comfortable. We did the class with a group of friends and had a great time..

Cooking, laughing, and eating! - Kate made the cooking experience a lot of fun! She has a good sense of humor and all of us laughed a lot. We learned how to cut the lamb pieces, which way to slice carrots, and the proper way to use a potato peeler. Kate provided aprons and we used a cooking weight scale so that our measurements for the scones and bread were precise. After everything was cooked we sat in Kate’s back sunroom and enjoyed the beautiful view of her garden while we ate. It was nice to meet people from other places and converse. What a wonderful to spend an afternoon in a local Irish home to cook, laugh, and eat!

What a great day! - Kate did a great job with choice of meal and organization. The kitchen was in her cozy Irish garden home and we had a chance to pick some of our own herbs for the meal!
