Participants will paddle double kayaks up and down through Kilkenny, taking in the historical buildings that define the city’s skyline.

The tour may include an exciting white-water paddling experience over a weir and playing in the rapids for those interested. For those who prefer to stay dry, over-trousers are provided to keep participants comfortable. Additionally, a guide can accompany guests in the double kayak for added stability, enhancing both enjoyment and safety.

Visual highlights of the tour include Kilkenny Castle, The Tholsel, St. Francis Abbey, the former home of Smithwick’s Brewery, and St. Canice’s Cathedral. Guests will also learn about the significance of the River Nore to Kilkenny and its rich milling history spanning centuries.
