- Medieval Mile Museum - We stop outside the museum to talk a bit about the history of the building and its role in Kilkennys political history.
- High Street - We stop for a quick chat on the High street to talk about what it might have looked like in medieval times
- Pennyfeather Lane - As we walk along the lane we discuss what life would have been like and the living conditions of medieval times.
- Talbot Tower - The highlight of the tour, enjoy the beauty and history of the small park surrounding the tower, while learning about the armour and weapons used by medieval knights.
- Kilkenny Castle - Arriving at the gates of the castle we end the tour with a bit of history of the castle and its role in Kilkenny.

Touring the hidden gems of Kilkenny… with your very own knight in shining armour! - I love Kilkenny and the walking tour with Dylan, the knight, made it come to life as the medieval city that it is!! He was entertaining and knowledgeable and such a pleasure to spend time with. Another very special thing about this tour is that it avoids some of the more ‘touristy’ spots and instead takes you into little known gems that no other tour does. The Talbot Tower was probably my favourite stop on the tour, and I don’t think you’ll find that on any other tour in Kilkenny… even the locals don’t know about it! Thank you Sir Dylan for an unforgettable experience!!

Passionate about Kilkenny Hustory - Dillion is amazing. He walks about town in his Knights amour discussing the history of the “city”. He has a lot of interesting stories to tell. Really enjoyed the knights amour explanation in the Talbot Tower. Definitely recommend this tour for families with boys. interesting and a quick and easy walk since Dillion is in amour

A Unique and Informative Tour with a Knight - Our tour with A Knight for Hire was absolutely fantastic! With just the two of us, we enjoyed a private, personalized experience. Dylan was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging as he guided us through the Medieval Mile, highlighting fascinating historical sites along the way. One of the highlights was a stop at a tower with private access, where Dylan showcased his impressive collection of swords and explained the details of his suit of armor. Despite joking about his struggles with history class in school, his deep knowledge of Kilkenny's history was truly remarkable. We highly recommend this unique and unforgettable experience!

Great experience - Dylan was a wonderful tour guide, he managed to keep us entertained and informed at the same time. We could feel his love for the history of Kilkenny and for the beauty of the city. We learned a lot, 100% recommended!

The Knight with the keys to Kilkenny’s history! - Our Knight was very knowledgeable about Kilkenny history, had a great sense of humor and told several fascinating stories about local lore. The only difficulty we had was keeping up with how fast he spoke. Being from America, we have found the Irish speak faster than we can listen 😁
