Highly recommended - The stables do a fantastic job of matching you with an appropriate horse and they ensure that you get to have a canter if you are capable. It was a beautiful way to experience they National park and learn some of the history. I would have loved the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt or polo as a memento of my ride. Something with the stable name and a picture of my horse Sophie or of the scenery.

Fall in love - They choose the horse based off of your size and experience level. As a beginner, they handed me my horse “Ree” and the woman said “He will protect you, he is best boy” … he required almost no direction but listened to everything I asked of him. He was perfect. I was able to enjoy the beautiful Irish landscape without worry, he truly was best boy and I was so grateful for this experience! [tip your guides!]

So many deer!! - The ride is lovely and staff is terrific! Tip: Place Killarney Riding Stables in Google maps or the address in the email because it is located at another spot than main entrance to Killarney National Park.
