Knife making workshop - The knife making workshop with the Mao family and Mark as a guide was truly an unforgettable experience. We really were immersed in the world of knife making. The guide was very helpful and offered many translations and tips, the workers helped us a lot with our knife offering their expertise every step of the way. Always with a big smile and a helpful attitude. They even offered us some local herbal tea and some refreshing watermelon after our hard work. I strongly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Enjoyable and great experience - Really old fashioned knife making, you do make the knifes yourself, they help, but its still physical, especially in arms, but great experience

Superb off the beaten track experience - Mark, our DE mistletoe, is looking for us and has accompanied us throughout this unique activity, sharing with us lots of exciting information about Vietnam. The workshop takes place in a village where a family has been making knives for 4 generations. Thanks to Mark, we were able to interact with them and participate at every step. An authentic, human and rewarding moment. We leave with our knife, memories full of memories... and a smile on our face!

Immersion in a family of cutlery artisans from Hanoi - Small introduction/discovery of traditional Vietnamese artisan cutlery, the format is interesting, it takes place in a family setting and the craftsmen are very welcoming. The guide/interpreter, Mr. Thi, is very friendly and does his best. The only criticism is that the different stages of knife manufacturing, in which the customer participates individually, could be explained in a slightly more educational way. Sometimes it goes a little fast and you don't understand exactly the purpose of this or that step. But visiting and making the knife is still a very good activity, which I do not regret at all.

A great day out with a momento to bring home that will be super useful - This is a great day out, all went very slickly and to plan. Me and my 14 year old son each made our own knives. Mine for cutting vegetables and his straight out of Fortnight! We were carefully guided by the master craftsmen and gently shown the way. We were delighted with our own creations. Had the opportunity to buy more knives and scissors for gifts to take home. A very good experience and Nathan our guide could not have been better. We no longer have just hand luggage! Highly recommend.
