Oatman/Route 66...A tour to remember!! - In early October, my husband and I were escorted by Brandon on a tour of absolute enjoyment, just the 3 of us. We motored to Kingman and visited the Route 66 and Electric Vehicle Museum, eventually moving on to Oatman while enjoying what the historic Routh 66 had to offer along the way. We listened to his incredible knowledge about the mining camps, Route 66, the Black Mountains and untold amounts of information Brandon had stored in his mind. Such a remarkable man that has experienced so much of this beautiful area and was willing to share things we never would've known. Brandon is a very knowledgeable environmentalist and made this day one we will never forget. We especially enjoyed Oatman with the fabled free-roaming burros, which Brandon knew each individual burro and called them by their name. The historical hotel we dined at in Oatman at lunchtime was incredible! Clark Gable and Carol Lombard loved to hang out here and play poker, away from the publicity. You mustn't miss this place...the food was terrific, however the interior of this hotel/museum was a sight to behold! There's over a half million dollar bills attached to every available inch of space on the walls, ceilings, steps, absolutely everywhere...signed by visitors that have also left their own signed dollar bill behind! There's a story here about this tradition, concerning how it started with the early miners that begs to tell. You should call Brandon to take you there to learn the story! Call Desert Wonder Adventures, LLC if you want to enjoy a wonderful experience. Bob Walton is the owner, and he is a dream to work with in planning your tours. He has superb employees working for him that give it their all to make your tour the best experience possible. In fact, we made a return trip in early November to experience another fantastic tour with employee Eddie. We certainly enjoyed the west rim of the Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree Forest with Eddie this time! A big THANK YOU to Desert Wonder Adventures. We'll be back again...looking forward to it!

Oatman Mining Tour - The Oatman Mining was so good. So many stores and donkeys roaming free, The donkeys are so cute. We got caught in a flash flood the road was washed away. The driver kept us informed on when we could leave the area and head back to Laughlin. On the way back the driver took his time. He was wonderful and so was Oatman.

Had a great time at all the small shops in Oatman. Also all the donkeys roaming around the stores and streets. - Wil our tour guide and driver was very knowledgeable and was really fun and friendly. He made the trip better, stopped at interesting sites and could tell you about everything along our route.

Thank you. Oatman Tour was a highlight of our Arizona experience. - What a delightful experience! Sarge was our guide and he was fun to be with careful driving and allowed my fear of heights change the itinerary so we had more time in Oatman. I would NOT have wanted to find Oatman by myself nor parking although our day was pretty quiet I was told. We enjoyed burro walking the streets, even got a safe picture with my husband, found fun Christmas gifts to take back home and store for the holiday. The Saloon was closed for the day post big motorcycle's annual event...probably had to go food shopping, but we found another down the street and they were love and we were musically entertained. The gun fight was fun and all for a good cause.

Bonkers! So glad I went… - Bonkers. This was an off-the-beaten-path stop but 100% worth it, especially if you love animals. It’s not your typical tourist attraction (basically you just interact with the burros as you wander around the Old West town. The shops sell approved food to give them). About 20 burros hang out in town, but if you drive 5 minutes past the townsite you see even more in the hills.

Definitely a WINNER!! - The burros are very friendly and you can buy a bag of food for them for just one dollar. They also live out of town on the road going into Oatman and you can feed them there too. The Oatman Hotel has a very nice restaurant, ice cream shop and bar. Everyone is very very friendly and you will find a lot of really great shops in town. Plan on spending about two hours there.

Disgusting as NO SIGNS OF THE SEVERE DANGER - This little town does not look as nice as these pictures . BIG advice to parents with children make sure that you or your kids never ever stand behind a donkey ...I just witnessed a little 8 year young girl who was walking passed a donkey from behind. The donkey kicked her so hard that SHE FLEW 3-4 FEET in the air before landing back on the ground . I heard the sound of the donkey kick her and when she hit the ground she was screaming . Her upper part of her ear was severed and to be kicked that hard in the head :( This town had NO SIGNS warning of this danger. The MOM and Dad had an accent so they were probably were from another country . They had to call an ambulance . NO SIGNS . I rate this place as disgusting for that reason. If it wasn't for our tour guide I would not have been as aware of the dangers ...
