Wonderful time with gorillas in Ruanda - I’m solo female traveler and had a great experience with Devine African Safaris. Everything went as expected. The driver, guides and porter were punctual, kind, helpful and respectful. The trekking was so fun! Specially the part where we had to kind of climb through the bushes. We met a whole family of gorillas including the silverback, females, small ones and even a baby. It was awesome to be so close and spent a bit more than an hour with them. The lunch after the trekking was delicious. Comfortable car and enjoyable ride from/to Kigali. I definitely recommend to book with this agency.

- Such an incredible trip, highly recommend! I traveled solo and it was great mainly thanks to my guide Gavis! He made the trip so easy, showing me a ton of local spots and taught me a lot about the culture! Also a 10/10 driver lol seeing the gorillas was unbelievable, truly a once in a life time experience. The lodge I stayed at was very nice, clean and had amazing staff. Highly recommend the tour and ask for Gavis you will not be disappointed!!!!

Most Amazing Time & Amazing Guide, Gavis! - I had the most amazing time on my gorillas trek experience in Uganda. My tour guide, Gavis, made everything so easy for me as a solo woman traveling Africa for the first time. He went out of his way every opportunity he could to make me feel welcomed and safe! He made me feel incredibly special on my birthday and made it one I will never forget! The tour itself was amazing! I was anxious I didn't have everything i needed for the trek, but Gavis made sure I was fully prepared. Seeing gorillas in their natural habitat is the most incredible experience. The accommodation was lovely and the staff were incredible! Amazing hospitality all around. My only regret is not booking to stay longer in Uganda. I hope to come back soon!

Perfect experience - We booked a 5 day trip through Rwanda (gorillas, chimpanzees and more) with Devine African Safaris and the experience was top notch. The company was responsive in the lead up and our driver Ronald was great (punctual, good driving, friendly, and overall helpful). Our tour was seamless. Would not hesitate to recommend and would book again if we make it back.

Best Experience - Well what a fantastic experience!! Totally rate Devine African Safaris. I was picked up on time, arrived and was given a very nice coffee, the 2 guides we had were fabulous. The porters were so helpful. I was really grateful for their help across some boggy parts in the jungle. We found our gorilla family of around 12-14 gorillas including babies. One had wound itself into a ball and rolled out onto the track in front of us - closely followed by the grand silver back! We watched one of the babies mesmerised by its reflection in a puddle. We got to spend our precious hour with these beautiful gorillas. Its just awesome!!! Thank you also for the really nice lunch. Devine African Safaris you were perfect! 100% very happy to recommend! Got so many cool photos

Fantastic experience! - I had a fantastic experience with Devine. They were quick to respond to any queries I had and arranged a seamless excursion. The drive to bwindi was fun and safe. The lodge they booked was great. And the excursion to see the gorillas was fantastic.

Brilliant!!!! - Devine African Safaris arranged a fantastic trip in Uganda for my husband and I. We were met before immigration at the airport and taken through without queuing which was great after a long flight. Our guide was Emma (Emmanuel) who was an absolute star from the moment we met him. He explained what would happen on day one and showed us to our jeep. We had a 6 hour drive to our first stop so had a traditional lunch on route, arriving at our destination safely having had lots of questions answered and feeling totally safe throughout. Our first hotel was beautiful and had fabulous views and lovely food, nothing was too much trouble. We did the chimpanzee habituation trip the next day which was breathtaking. The tours are way too busy with people so we were pleased we had spent a bit more to spend longer with them when everyone else had gone. Emma was waiting for us and was fun, polite, and wise beyond his years. We travelled the next day to what I can only describe as heaven on earth - a beautiful hotel in the middle of a forest with the most fabulous views. We passed through Queen Elizabeth Park and saw Lion, elephants and monkeys - a delight! The next day we did the gorilla habituation which again was just us and another couple so we got really close to the whole family and sat with them for around an hour having watched them playing in the trees and then making their way to a resting spot. We were so privileged to see the silverback playing with one of his young sons just feet away - it's very emotional to watch. We spent longer there just asking questions and had a good few hours to take it all in. It's not for the faint hearted as the walk up is challenging to get to them! We left the day after for the 9 hour trip back to the airport. Emma knew shortcuts which show you the real Uganda and we were grateful to see it. The people are beautiful, so kind and friendly - they danced and sang at the last hotel which was just brilliant and makes you fall a little more in love with the place. We were incredibly lucky to get Emma, he's a very knowledgeable, kind young man who speaks freely with locals but converses so well in all company - a joy to be with. Throughout the booking process Nicholas kept us up to date and assisted with our questions. I would have no hesitation in recommending Devine African Safaris to plan a trip - we fell in love with Uganda and may well return.
