You’ll be transported to our base camp, where you’ll enjoy a light breakfast, receive water, a flashlight, and meet your trekking guide. As you ascend the volcano under the twinkling stars in the refreshing morning air, you’ll be captivated by the experience. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be treated to one of the most awe-inspiring sights imaginable - the sunrise over Bali from above the clouds. The views are truly breathtaking and stunning. While at the peak, savor a simple breakfast of tea and eggs cooked in volcanic steam, and take in the incredible viewpoint. As you begin your descent, you’ll explore the three younger craters and marvel at the remarkable volcanic landscape.

Tour Itinerary

• 02:00-03:00: Pickup from your hotel, depending on your location in Bali, and direct transport to the starting point.
• 03:45 am: Arrival at the starting point, followed by an introduction and safety briefing by our experienced professional hiking guide (Association of Mount Batur Trekking Guides).
• 04:00 am: Start the climb/trek to Mount Batur Bali.
• 04:20 am: Continue the climb/trek to the summit crater.
• 06:15 am: Arrival at the summit crater to witness the spectacular view and sunrise. Enjoy refreshments of eggs boiled in volcanic steam.
• 07:00 am: Continue the trek around the entire crater.
• 08:00 am: Begin the descent to Jati Temple, the trek’s finishing point.
• 09:00 am: Arrival at Jati Temple and board the car.
• 09:30 am: Stop at a Balinese Coffee plantation.
• 10:30 am: Visit Tegalalang Rice Terrace.
• 12:00 pm: Return to your hotel.

Mount Batur, a volcano deemed sacred in Hindu tradition, is situated in Batur village, within the Kintamani District of Bali, Indonesia. With an elevation of 1717 m above the sea level, Mount Batur (known as Gunung Batur in the local language) presents an achievable challenge for hikers, typically taking around 2 hours to reach the summit.

Mount Batur in Bali is an active volcano, drawing visitors with its stunning aesthetics and the promise of adventure tours. We offer an exciting climb up Mount Batur, where you’ll experience an unforgettable sunrise from atop an active volcano. During the return trip from the trek, we will take a detour to a Traditional Bali Coffee Processing or Bali Agrotourism centre. Here, you can appreciate a variety of Tropical plantations and learn about the traditional process of making Balinese coffee. Don’t miss out on the mesmerizing Tegalalang rice terrace before we drop you back at your accommodation.
