A magical experience with Mary and her animals - We booked to meet the mini pigs and we were not disappointed. We were met at the sanctuary but the lovely Mary. Her enthusiasm for the sanctuary and her animals is wonderful, we could have just talked to her all day but we had pigs to meet. Lucky for us there was piglets there at the time. I am 43 but was like a child at Christmas when I saw the pigs. We got plenty of time with the piglets, brushing them and just watching them live their best life. Afterwards, we walked around the rest of the sanctuary where we met pigmy goats, alpacas, Valais black nose sheep, horses, donkeys and of course the lovely adult pigs too. All of the animals are so happy and well cared for, I can’t even begin to imagine the work that goes into looking after them all. I would highly recommend booking an experience, the experience itself being amazing but also knowing that your money is being well spent on these animals makes it extremely good value for money. We will definitely be returning for more visits and experiences

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE FAIRY PIG WALK!!!!!!!!!!!!! - My family and I had a wonderful time here at the Burren Nature Sanctuary. We booked the Fairy Pig walk and our 2 young children absolutely loved this! Emelia was absolutely adorable and knew her route very well. Highly recommend this experience to everyone and especially for people when young children as this is something they will never forget. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! The grounds are very well kept and it is such a peaceful place to spend the day or even stay for a few nights.

Great family day out - First off the staff here are brilliant. So friendly and make you welcome right away. Their kitchen isnt operating at the moment but the lady told us there's no problem bringing food to the centre. We did a quick run back down to spar for some sambos. The facilities are spotless and there's loads to do. We have a 4 and 1 year old and they had a ball. Between the indoor soft play area and the outdoor sand play ground the first hour went by in no time. Then we got to the nature. The walk down to the disappearing lake through the wildflower meadow is gorgeous. The labelled trees is a great idea and learning about the different types that we all pass everyday bit don't know about is great. (Google helped a little with this bit). The Botany bubble is really cool and just outside the signs of the different plants and what they can do is something you could take a picture of to print off for natural remedies. The animals are great. You can get up close to most of them and they were super friendly and being able to feed some from your hand was a real treat for the kids. It also had one of the best fairy trails we've been to so far with names by their doors so you know their profession. We didn't have time to finish the nature walk today but we will definitely have to come back another day and do it again.

Beautiful hidden gem. Wonderful experience! - The absolute highlight of our trip to the Burren. Incredible facility made up of people who you get the sincere impression that they adore animals and nature. Walking around the sanctuary alone is a delight. The Botany tour is fascinating. Passing by the animals and getting acquainted with Frisky the Goat and the other animals is a gorgeous experience. And of course, the Fairy Pig Walk is just an experience we will never forget. I've been spending the days since trying to find the downsides to adopting a pig. It won't be the last time we visit the sanctuary and I will be recommending it to everyone I know. Thanks to Mary and the whole gang for a fantastic day out!

Brilliant experience - I really enjoyed spending the day in the sanctuary. The animals are so loved and well looked after. We did the fairy walk with Emilia the pig. It was so relaxing and Emilia is the cutest. Mary, who was our guide is so lovely, informative and made the walk a very pleasant experience. She took photos for us with Emilia and also gave guidance along the route of when to take videos etc. it is really worth paying for the fairy walk and also you get a token for tea/coffee to enjoy in their very relaxing cafe!
