Worth it to book! - Definitely worth having a tour guide at this sight. Our guide was wonderful - super knowledgeable about every part of the ruins. It was crowded so having skip the line tickets was great.

Culturally Enriching! - Everything was super well communicated, easy to find, and well coordinated for our family of 7. In addition, our guide was very knowledgeable, gave us a ton of backstory and history on the ruins, and was also mindful to help us avoid the main pack of people while keeping us in the shade. If you are into history and want to learn more about Knossos, ancient civilization, and the overall area of Crete, Greece, and the Mediterranean then I’d highly recommend!

Wonderful Tour - It was a wonderful tour. We learned so much. Katerina, our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. Though somewhat crowded, she managed to effectively navigate the ruins while delightfully weaving the story of Minoan civilization in Crete.

Learned so much!! - Absolutely amazing tour by Akrivi!! She was so knowledgeable about not just the details about the ruins but also related mythology and how contemporary theories regarding the palace weave together with historical ones. If she hosts a lecture series on this topic I would love to learn more!! So exciting!!

Arriving early is worth it – but value for money disappointing - We visited the maze of Knossos and were a bit divided overall. On the one hand, it is of course exciting to stand in a place with so much history – the excavations and reconstructed parts give an impression of Minoan culture. Those interested in history will get their money's worth. Allerdings: The entrance fee of €20 per person is, in our opinion, significantly overpriced for what is offered – especially considering that many areas are now only foundation walls, some are not allowed to enter (on side roads) and the information boards are sometimes quite scarce. Important tip: Best to come early in the morning! The large free parking next door is quickly full, and if you arrive later, there is a threat of traffic chaos. Many cars then park in the bus lanes or in the second row – this becomes confusing and stressful. Conclusion: Interesting place with historical value, but too expensive and organizationally not optimally regulated.

I'll never buy tickets online again! - I didn't get to use the tickets because it wasn't the right barcode and had to buy new ones! Lots of traffic and no parking enough!
