Beautiful views <3 - We went on 17/04/25 and had an amazing weather. Mostly sunny. We were picked up from our Hotel on time and the drive from Kamala to the marina was quite comfortable. Even though we stopped a few times to pick up more passengers, it still didn't take that long. When we arrived at the Royal Phuket Marina (which by the way looks lovely- wait until you see all the boats and yachts), everyone got given wrist bands, which then depending on the colour, divided passengers into groups for the speedboats. I assumed it was done by spoken languages, group sizes and ages etc Once inside the building, I paid the National Park fees and we could relax while waiting for the departure. The booking mentioned "complimentary coffee and tea at the port" so we made sure we had breakfast at the hotel and I even put some snacks in my backpack, just in case, for our 10yo son. To my surprise, apart from the water, tea and coffee, there was also a small selection of food in the waiting area. As we already had breakfast, we just had some fruit but there were also some sausages and a mini cold platter selection for making sandwiches and toasts and some pastries. I thought we wouldn't wait longer than half an hour at the marina but I guess some passengers were running late. Once everyone was there, one of the guides- Ken, talked us through the itinerary and the rules. 1. Our first stop was Hong Island. My husband wished he could do a bit of the canoeing himself but in that humidity and heat, I'm glad he couldn't as also we probably would have missed some great views (cliffs and caves) that only locals know about. The man who did the kayaking, did a great job and took fab pictures for us so we tipped him well. It got a bit cloudy and it started to drizzle when we were leaving the 1st stop but that lasted 5mins and it was very refreshing. 2. After Hong Island we went to James Bond Island- for that I wished we packed our water shoes. As we didn't have to use them on our previous island trips, I wanted to pack lighter for this one, so we left them at our hotel. Bring your aqua shoes for James Bond Island if you want to do the walk around the cliff (following the steps up then down, you'll end up walking through the sea in a few, short areas and the bottom of the sea is covered in crushed, sharp seashells. Hubby and I were fine, it just really affected our 10 year old's mood. I'm happy we ticked it off our bucket list, but I wouldn't go back to James Bond Island. It's just one of those busy, small, overcrowded, touristy places but it wasn't as crowded as Maya Bay. It's the only place where we felt harassed by the stall owners, one seller even grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go straight away, but we were warned about them on the speedboat. 3. The next stop was Koh Panyi / Panyee Island (The Floating Village), founded around 300 years ago by Indonesian Muslim fishermen on which we had a very delicious, buffet style lunch. A choice of a few curries, soup, veggies, deep fried chicken- which my son loved and had seconds of. After we ate, we were free to explore the island. The only downside is that we weren't given any directions on how to get to some of the worth-seeing places. Us 3 got a bit lost, just started walking through the market streets and (now I know) ended up on the opposite side to the mosque or the floating football pitch which my son really wanted to see. We got to one end of the island and decided to head back to the speedboat and when we got there, we just had 15mins left before the departure so just waited on the speedboat, thinking it wouldn't be enough to explore the other side of the island. So I just wished they gave more time to explore the floating village (I'm literally talking about 15mins more, especially if you have kids in the group) and actually told the guests which way to go to get to the mosque. They could just point in the right directions, before telling us where to sit down for lunch, as different groups/tables finished eating at different times so it was difficult to stick together on that island. 4. It got cloudy just when we were leaving the Floating Village but again, by the time we got to the next stop- Phanak Island- it was sunny and hot. There, as it was a low tide, we were lucky to be able to explore the caves- on foot. If you have a mini torch with you on Holiday, pack it for that but it's OK if you don't, we all just used our phones' torches. It was well worth walking through the caves, in some places with the sea water up to my waist. Make sure you have the waterproof bags/ pouches for your phones, cash and bank cards. I left my big waterproof bag on the speedboat and just had a waterproof money belt on me. Once through the caves, we found ourselves in the middle of this beautiful lagoon and our guide made sure we had time to sit down and relax a bit and just listen to nature. 5. After that, we went to our last stop- Palm Beach Club on Yao Yai Island. Unfortunately the waves picked up by then so we didn't spend much time cooling down in the sea as it was getting uncomfortable for all 3 of us but they have showers, a short walk from the bar, so it was a great way to refresh and cool down just before going back to Phuket Marina. Also our guides kept offering us cold, freshly cut watermelons and pineapples on that island. I don't think I mentioned it earlier but we had access to cold, soft drinks the whole day and they even kept reminding us to drink throughout the day which was great. Our guide Ken, was great and very knowledgeable and he and the rest of the team (on our speedboat), sorry I forgot their names, looked after us well. Each speedboat had approx. 40 passengers, but everyone had enough space for themselves. We got back to the marina just before 6pm so when we got back to our hotel in Kamala, it was dark and we were ready for dinner :) Great day trip at a great price!

Fab day out - We enjoyed the boat tour of the islands. The staff were friendly and so were the canoe staff who took us around the island. Each island was beautiful and well worth a visit.

Excellent day out 😊 - We really enjoyed this day tour and felt very well looked after by the guide and team. Stunning scenery and the kayaking through the caves was such as experience 😊 The tour ended with a couple of hours at Naka Beach, which was beautiful, but we are not sunbatheres, so this wasted on us really. We would have preferred to set foot on Hong Island or have more time at Panyee floating village - but that's just our preference. It was a great day out- the food was delicious and the drinks were supplied all day. Thank you 😊

Great day trip 😊 - Great day trip out to the various islands. It was a comfortable boat and we had a great guide 😊 Would prefer more time at Muslim Village and Hong Island and not bother with Naka Island but that's just personal preference.

7/10. Well-organised, but very noisy and crowded! - It’s times like this that I wish Tripadvisor allowed ratings out of 10, as this excursion would be a 7/10 (I’ve been generous and rounded up, not down!). For an all-day trip, it was quite good value, but very busy. We were shoe-horned on to an already fairly crowded speedboat for the entire day, with my Apple Watch warning me repeatedly of the noise levels generated by the speedboats engines during the multiple trips between islands. (TIP: Bring ear plugs/ear phones!) The crew and guides were in general a decent bunch, but the day was dragged down by being placed in a large group of mostly miserable passengers who preferred to simply ignore those around them. Plenty of drinks were available whilst on the speedboat and lunch was simply ‘ok’ (no more, no less). I’ve reviewed James Bond Island separately, which I feel thoroughly deserves its lowly 1 star rating from me. The rest of the island trips were generally pretty good, but I certainly wouldn’t say any were a must-see.
