Koh Madsum - I had an easy, peaceful private boat to Koh Madsum, where there are pigs and dogs galore. The captain was kind and waited for me to be finished, he took me to a snorkeling spot and took me back to the pier when I asked.

Good fun experience! - Booked the night before. Neatly confirmed via mail. In the morning another app to confirm the time to pick up. Driver was neat on time and he dropped us off at the boat. There received by a lady who took us to the captain of the boat. After a pleasant boat trip with a relatively calm sea arrived as 2nd boat at the island which was very nice. Within an hour it was extremely busy, which also led to very busy and restless pigs and dogs. Went back on time, the captain keeps waiting for you as well as the driver so you can go whenever you want. All in all a great experience! (But go as early as possible)

Great experience - Great experience, our guide was very pleasant. We arrived on the island a little before the crowd, which allowed us to enjoy the scenery and pigs in peace.

Fun day but read this review for important details and expectations - Great day out on the water and to see Pig Island. We were picked up at our hotel by a car, driven to the Pier, then rode the boat to pig island first. Important to know, you WILL get very wet on the boat, so dress accordingly, but that was part of the fun. Recommend glasses to keep water out of your eyes. Pig island is full of dozens of cute pigs of all sizes. You have to pay 50 baht upon arrival but this is listed in activity details. We then summoned the boat (you can take as long as you choose on pig island) to go to the Koh Tam swimming spot. I give 4 stars because the Koh Tam swim spot was pretty small and had a great deal of litter on the shore, but the water was nice. We were unable to snorkel because it had rained recently, but obviously this is outside their control. We then took the boat home. Overall I recommend as a fun day out of the hotel on Koh Samui but I wish I know about the wet boat ride and had a cleaner swim spot.

Meh - Pig island was great, however the tour guy seemed to be disconnected from our adventure. We did expect him to tell us a little bit about the places we were visiting or at least inform us that pigs bite! However, we got informed by other guide from other boat. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t fantastic either.

Pig island is one of... - Pig island is one of those you feel you have to see even if it is very touristy. I’m glad we did it but my children actually enjoyed the snorkelling more than the pigs. The island is very dirty and smelly which is a shame as there is no need for such much litter. The interaction with the pigs was good though and better than I was expecting, even though there are so many people about - I wish a few less trips went at same time but all in all a good trip - the timings were good. 2 hours on the island and an hour (or less if you prefer) snorkelling was perfect. My only real disappointment was the miscommunication with the tour guide I was contacted months before by the tour company with a pick up time but I then forgot this and couldn’t locate message anywhere and all other emails reminders that were sent the days before and even on the same day including tickets confirmed a different pick up time so this meant I was not ready when the bus arrived which was really annoying as we skipped lunch and didn’t remember all our stuff. Viator need to not confirm times of local guide different and the local guide should’ve sent another reminder in the weeks or days before trip.

Interesting day out, but not quite the calming experience we anticipated - We did a private trip, and glad we did as we were first on the island in the morning. It could also be called dog island as there are as many dogs as pigs, and can be a bit overwhelming! The pigs were still sleeping, no guide told us what to do until other people arrived and we saw them with plates of food for the pigs. Warning - they are greedy and steal the whole plate from your hand! We were told we had 2 hours on the island, but Once we'd had a little potter with the pigs and the dogs, after an hour we were ready to go so again a private tour was good as we could make our own way back We then stopped at a snorkeling point and this was great! Good to see local fish and float in the wonderful sea.

Nice. - Top support, stunning view with transparent sea. Think that the island of pigs, you are welcomed by dogs of the island, are kind, but for those who are afraid of dogs, it is Not great.

Rusty - The pigs were good... but the rest was just useless. The snorkeling was crappy and the captain completely tired.😴😴😴

Lots of garbage and poor animals - The island was very full and completely trashed. The animals (pigs and dogs) were incredibly thirsty and fought over every bottle of water. It is sold as a great experience to be able to drink pigs from bottles. But they are just thirsty... It seems like nobody has control that the dogs and pigs continue to reproduce on site. There are too few water resources on site and the sad result is thirsty suffering animals.
