Kobe Half-Day Adventure - We had such a fantastic half-day tour of Kobe with our wonderful guide, Norio! We started with the ropeway and beautiful Herb Gardens, then headed off for a hike through nature to see the waterfalls. The day finished with a boat cruise around Kobe Harbour. Norio was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, funny and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. A perfect mix of scenery, adventure, culture and fun. Highly recommend this tour and especially Norio!

We had the best time in Kobe - Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option - while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. You are the best Chiyuki - grateful for your hospitality and gracious hosting.

Absolutely amazing tour and guide - This was the perfect Kyoto tour for our family (two older kids). LJ was the absolute best guide. He explained things along the way and made sure we could have memorable photos to go along with our trip. Our kids haven’t stopped raving about him and the tour which never happens! This is a must do for Kyoto

Kobe Variety. - Our delightful guide, Norio, was knowledgeable and a master at train negotiation! A highlight of the tour was the Herb Garden and Ropeway visit. The Sake Brewery and Museum was interesting with fabulous explanation from Norio combined with outstanding exhibits and tastings! He then left us to wander at our leisure in Chinatown.

A fantastic time! - We were met by Harumi Sagayama, our guide, at the Shinkansen station. We immediately bonded over a shared love of Sumo, in particular as her favourite and ours are brothers! She went over the itinerary and adjusted the order of things to suit our preferences. Harumi was very knowledgeable, showing us the best order in which to view the Herb Gardens .. an hour seemed like a long time but we could have stayed there longer! We went on to view the earthquake memorial, go shopping, check out several museums and had a great tour of Kobe, with extensive explanations of the history of the city. We had many options for lunch but decided on an authentic Japanese experience .. the menu was hand-written in Japanese only and the food was delicious, although we would have been utterly lost without Harumi translating for us! When we went to pay for lunch we discovered a disaster-my wife had lost her wallet! Harumi was extremely helpful, taking us back to the last place she had used the wallet. The shop had no idea but Harumi took us to the security office and thankfully the lost was found! Given that the wallet had all of her ID, credit cards etc if we hadn't found it we would have been in considerable trouble but Harumi stayed with us past the official end-time of the tour to ensure that we retrieved the wallet and that we were all set for our return trip. She turned what would have been disaster around, and we are profoundly grateful! Not only a skilled and wise guide but a friendly, helpful and resourceful person! We would highly recommend her for anyone interested in learning about Kobe.

Relaxed tour - We arrived in Kobe on a cruise ship April 2026 Our guide Mr Yama had helped us plan a tour for the two of us prior to our arrival in Japan giving us several options. We had a most enjoyable and informative tour of the venues we had agreed on with him previously. He was waiting for us at the cruise port terminal as agreed and we first went to the Herb Garden via a cable car ride up the steep mountain side. The ride gave us a great view of Kobe and as it was fine we could even see Osaka. Our next stop was the European section of town which we walked down to from the Herb Garden . We enjoyed a coffee and cake at Starbucks to conclude our trip. Mr.Yama passed on to us his extensive knowledge of the history of sites visited and Kobe in general during the tour He also took photos of us during the tour to create memories for the future for us. His translation of written Japanese language inscriptions when required was appreciated. He was patient allowing us to set our own pace throughout the tour.
