A great experience for anyone looking to learn about Japan's number 1 Sake region and try many different types of Sake along the - Hiroko, Jim and Sally were our tour guides on a Sunday to take us through Kobe. My group of 5 went and had a really wonderful time learning about the rich history of some of the oldest Sake companies in Japan, the process of making the Sake and about how the different Sake companies differentiate themselves. Their insights and helpfulness in explaining all the minute details of Sake made for a very wonderful time, and we had a fair drink of Sake along the way! They even made accommodations for our reservations after the tour and made a great effort to make sure the day ran smoothly for everyone. Thank you to Hiroko, Jim and Sally for their help in giving us a great experience in Kobe!

A fantastic experience!! - We had an absolutely incredible time on our Sake Tasting Tour. Aki was a FANTASTIC guide, she was so knowledgeable, so friendly, so welcoming, and had so many surprises in her bottomless handbag. We learnt so much about sake and Kobe. It is a BIG afternoon with a huge amount of walking, so whilst it is not for the faint of heart it is definitely worth the trip to Kobe (we travelled from Osaka for the day) and will be recommending to everyone who is going to Japan.

Great sake tour in Kobe - This was a wonderful tour of 4 or 5 (lost count towards the end) sake breweries in the famed Nada region in Kobe. I did this as an afternoon trip from Osaka, taking the Hanshin Line train from there to Ishiyagawa train station, the start point for the tour. Hiro was a great guide, explaining why Nada is such a good location for making sake and giving short histories of each of the breweries we stopped at. It was good to have a stop at Okage Tofuan for a tofu snack halfway through the tour. I bought a bottle of super dry Sensuke junmai ginjo at the Izumi Brewery store, which I’m enjoying drinking now I’m back home. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Japan.

Everything you want at a leisurely pace - The tour was very enjoyable and educational. Aki-san was an excellent guide. Very friendly and passionate about sake. The tour was at a leisurely pace. Everyone had time to drink as much as they wanted and make any purchases without extending the tour past the estimated finish time. We went to 4 breweries. All had different flavors and styles. Very diverse for such a small area of town. Highly recommended.
