Kochi, a lively city on the southwest coast of the Indian peninsula, is located in the stunningly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, often referred to as ‘God’s Own Country’. Its historical significance is highlighted by its nickname, the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Cochin is also known informally as the Gateway to Kerala.
The rest of the day is free for leisure until the next morning. If time permits, guests may opt to enjoy the 17th-century art form, Kathakali Dance, at one of the renowned cultural centers in Fort Kochi. Kathakali is an ancient classical dance form of Kerala, combining drama, dance, music, and ritual. Visitors can observe the elaborate make-up process and enjoy a storytelling performance in the Kerala style. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Kochi – Munnar (132 kms/4 hrs.):
Munnar Hill Station - After breakfast, embark on a tour of Kochi/Cochin. Discover the heritage sites of Fort Kochi and shop for antiques and spices.
The tour begins at St. Francis Church, the oldest church in India, and includes the impressive Santa Cruz Basilica, built by the Portuguese. Guests can enjoy watching the iconic Chinese fishing nets in action and even try using them. Stroll along Jew Street to shop for antiques and spices, and visit the Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace. The city’s heritage zone is remarkably well-preserved.
Later, proceed to Munnar, one of Kerala’s most famous destinations. Enjoy the sprawling tea plantations, pristine valleys, and mountains of the Western Ghats. En route, visit Valara waterfalls. Upon arrival in Munnar, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure until the next morning. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Munnar Hill Station - After breakfast, spend the day sightseeing in Munnar. The name Munnar comes from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. Nearby is Echo Point, offering panoramic views and the thrill of hearing your voice echo. Popular sightseeing spots in Munnar include Poopara, Pothanmedu, Mattupetty Indo Swiss Project, and Eravikulam Park. Overnight stay at the resort in Munnar.
Munnar – Periyar (124 kms/3:30 hrs.):
Periyar National Park - Enjoy a scenic drive to Periyar National Park, one of South India’s finest jungles. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

Thekkady - Alleppey (145 kms/5 hrs.):
Alleppey Backwaters - In the morning, travel to Alleppey, known as the ‘Venice of the East’ for its winding lagoons, coconut trees, and endless paddy fields. Upon arrival, transfer directly to the backwaters resort. Alleppey is an ideal base for experiencing the beaches and backwaters. During the day, visit the Coir factory and Krishna Temple. Alleppey – Kovalam by Surface (168 kms/4:30 hrs.):
Kovalam Beach - After breakfast at the resort, check out and travel to Kovalam. Upon arrival, check in at the resort.
