Traveling through a diverse landscape, one reaches the sparkling Adriatic and the charming coastal town of Piran. Once a Venetian customs port, its romantic, narrow streets and pleasant climate make it an ideal spot for romance. It’s no surprise that the Venetians used it as a love nest in the 13th century.

Excellent! - The caves are spectacular and the city of Piran is very beautiful and interesting, thank you very much to our guide who also spoke Portuguese.

Skocjan Cave & Piran: Fantastic trip with contrasting vibes - incredible UNESCO protected cave+charming Italianate town - Amazing tour! Skocjan Caves were incredible - imagine Lord of the Rings meets Game of Thrones! And, Piran was charming - a little bit of Italy in Slovenia! Our guide, Tibor, was friendly, funny and passionate about the history & culture of this beautiful country! Would definitely recommend!!!

Skocjan Caves & Piran! a day in Adriatic Coast . - We had a wonderful guide, Miha or Mike, who narrated and answered questions on our way to the first stop-the UNESCO cave. While inside the massive cave area, this part of the tour was led by the park service guide. No pictures are allowed inside the cave. It needs to be known before booking, that the cave has approximately 500 steps and concrete walkways consisting of long inclines. We had 4 in our group. As long as this is known ahead of time, this is an awe inspiring place to visit. We were prepared for coldness underground, but it stays at a comfortably cool 12*C.
The views of Piran were lovely. As you stand by the Adriatic Sea, you can see Croatia to the left and Italy to the right! We stayed 3 hours,. An hour for lunch and and hour for exploring. There is not much shopping to be done here, except for the Piran Salt shop!!

A great day filled with nature, history and culture - This tour was exceptional! The caves were so impressive; words could not accurately describe them. I also really enjoyed visiting Piran, especially with the explanation of Luka, our guide. I had a fantastic day and really appreciated our guide :)

Absolutely worthwhile. - Wonderful! Our guide Tibor was both informative and entertaining. We also met some lovely people from around the world who toured with us. The cave was amazing and Piran was charming. Transportation was timely and comfortable.

Highly recommended — great experience and well worth the money! - Tibor is deeply knowledgeable about Slovenia and the sights he showed us. He shared his love of Slovenia and helped us better understand the country, its culture — and its cuisine (lots of good tips as to what and where to eat!). He set us up well to appreciate Skojcan caves and Piran. And he was just fun to spend time with! A great experience and well worth the money!

Škocjan caves and Piran tour - Our guide Micheal was knowledgeable and humorous. It was a great tour day despite the rainy cold conditions. The caves are amazing and the town of Piran was great place to see &experience a seafood lunch. The recommendations for lunch were spot on!

Great tour. Friendly guide. - We really enjoyed the tour, the caves were interesting but be warned a lot of steps!
Piran was beautiful, the weather was sunny and warm, and the tour guide gave a good history. With plenty of free time for so lunch and a stroll.
Recommended.

Disappointing - It was a really bad start. I booked the tour online and was not given or asked for a pick up spot. I sent an email to ask and waited all day long and still did not receive a reply, even though they had already taken my money (so I couldn’t cancel). I called, they didn’t answer the phone. By the end of the day, I felt stressed and didn’t know what to do. Called again and finally had someone answer, who gave me a pick up spot and then said they’d send a confirmation email - they didn’t. When the guide arrived 20 minutes late, he was not that pleasant. I was already upset, already felt unattended to and was travelling solo. He was rude when I asked him a question, he spoke down to me. While the caves were beautiful, I could not fully appreciate them as I was separated from my group, and left at the back of a long line of people. The town of Pirhan was pretty but the restaurant recommendations made were for very expensive restaurants. I ended up going off on my own to find food and to walk the town. I would recommend doing these spots on your own or with another company as it really was not worth my money or the added stress I received. I went to enjoy nature but the disappointment I felt really got in the way.
