Thracian tribes established settlements here, and the Romans constructed a fortress and roads connecting Naisus to what is now Western Bulgaria.
  During the Bulgarian Revival, Komshtitsa emerged as a hub for craftsmanship and gained fame for its dairy products.
  The journey to Komshtitsa takes approximately 1.5 hours. The tour begins at the village’s edge, where participants will walk along dirt roads, encircling the peak known as “Kaleto.”
