We had such a wonderful... - We had such a wonderful time on this tour. We were picked up from a nearby location to where we were staying which was very convenient. The drive to Montenegro was beautiful. The tour guide was amazing - very funny and personable. We enjoyed the balance between group/guided time and the independent time to visit in each town. Would highly recommend this trip for others looking for a day trip to Montenegro.

Wonderful day trip to Montenegro! - We spent the most wonderful day traveling from Dubrovnik to Montenegro and back with Anna and a lovely driver (I wish I could remember his name ☹️). They were polite, professional, kind, friendly, and very helpful. There was no shortage of historical information, both about Croatia and Montenegro, and any directions we were given were spot on. We were picked up outside our hotel and driven across the border into Montenegro. We stopped for coffee in the bathroom, and then drove on to our first destination, Perast, where we took a quick boat ride to a small island and visited its beautiful church. Then we walked Perast for another half an hour. From there, we drove to Kotor, where we were delivered at one of the old town gates. Anna paid our entrance tax and provided each of us with a map of the area. We wandered the area for 3 1/2 hours, visiting a museum, one of the many palaces, shops, and a restaurant. Pickup was prompt and exactly where we were told it would be, and crossing back into to Croatia went smoothly and quickly. We were very pleased with our excursions and highly recommend this trip, the company, and its guides. Well done! Thank you, Anna!

Coastal beauty & Pirates - We went into the Amico office in Dubrovnik wanting to do a number of trips which in Dubrovnik for 10 days. We were keen to see Montenegro and this tour took us to Perast and Kotor which we hadn’t known much about before booking. Following our hotel pickup, we headed to the border and after a welcome coffee and croissant stop, followed the coast to Perast learning about the towns and villages from Anna our guide along the way. Was really interesting to hear how the deep water bay was protected by a chain which kept pirates out and therefore explained the lack of walls around the town of Perast. We also added the optional boat trip to the Church of our lady of the rock - again, really interesting to hear how and why the island came into existence. We then headed onto Kotor and enjoyed wandering around the walled city, visiting churches and enjoying lunch and a drink before we headed back to the minibus. A really enjoyable day and a very different feel to Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Would recommend the trip and Amico for delivering a really enjoyable day.

A superb trip with awesome guides - An absolutely superb trip, and we were lucky to have a brilliant tour guide called Matej, who was also accompanied by an equally informative colleague Marta. We learnt so much about Croatia and Montenegro on our trip, all explained really easily by Matej that was interesting to hear. Lovely views, a nice trip to the island, and Kotor is like a small version of Old Dubrovnik (but cheaper!). The driver was very efficient and his van lovely and clean, plus all on time. Well done to Matej and Marta for making this a wonderful trip - very happy to recommend it

Worth the early start and small group - This is a great tour, in a small group, taking in Perast and Kotor. The 6.30am start is well worth it. We went through the border very easily both ways (other reviews had warned about long waits). The church on the island in Perast is interesting, and the views everywhere are spectacular. Kotor is quite beautiful, set in spectacular scenery. By far the best thing to do there is climb the fortifications (not necessarily all the way up), but the way is steep and not well maintained and the sun is hot. We had people on the trip who made it all the way up and loved it. In the town itself there are many palaces and buildings listed, but most are re-purposed and all you can do is look at the outside walls.

Nice day in Montenegro but some improvement needed in Kotor - A trip to Montenegro is definitely worth it if you have time whilst in Dubrovnik. The tour was a nice small group and our guide Mattie and driver were punctual and informative. The optional boat ride to Lady of Rocks was good. The Kotor portion could be done better - we were handed a map and told to meet back after 3.5 hours. No tour of the old city so i am sure missed a lot of the history and sights. It was too hot to walk the walls so end up being a very long time wandering around. Apparently the tour is not licensed to be a guide within the walls - perhaps they should arrange a local guide to do a short tour for that section. There was limited commentary on the 2hour drive back - the guide and driver just chatted together. A good day, but definitely some improvements would improve the experience.

Great tour guide but poor travel agent’s sevices! - The tour guide Maria was amazing. Educated us a lot about the history of post Yugoslavia and helped us to avoid the traffic and reduce our traveling time by starting early and negotiating with the border security to allow us to join a shorter queue! But the travel agent Amico Tours last minutes changed my pickup point 10 minutes further away from the previous pickup point and told me to be there 10 minutes earlier or THEY WOULD LEAVE WITHOUT ME! Avoid this travel agent!
