A notable section of the road from Kotor to Trojica includes an M-shaped moat. Legend has it that young engineer Josip Slade-Šilović, tasked with designing a modern road from Kotor to Cetinje after the Berlin Congress in 1878, secretly expressed his love for Montenegrin princess Milena through this design. The Montenegrin writer Jovan J. Martinović shared a local joke about this M, humorously suggesting that if the engineer had fallen for Princess Olga instead, the journey might have been endless.
• Njegusi - After an hour’s drive, the tour arrives in Njeguši, a village nestled between Kotor and Lovćen National Park, where authentic Montenegrin culture and cuisine await. Visitors can sample and purchase local delicacies such as prosciutto, cheese, and wine. Historically, Njeguši was a significant center of power in old Montenegro, governed by a bishop, prince-bishop, and serdar, with leadership roles passed down through family lines. The most renowned figure from Njeguši is Petar II Petrović Njegoš, who served as the Montenegrin bishop from 1830 to 1851.
