Unforgettable, Culturally Rich Experience – A Must-Do in Montenegro! - Please don’t pass up this incredible, culturally rich experience in Montenegro. We had an unexpected delay when our cruise ship made a last-minute stop to help a medically distressed passenger, which pushed our arrival into port back significantly. Despite the sudden change, the communication with the tour company was kind, flexible, and incredibly patient. They stayed in touch frequently and adjusted plans smoothly, which we truly appreciated. We were blown away by the hospitality and the depth of local culture shared with us. The food in Montenegro is absolutely amazing — and the locally cured hams are unforgettable! You can truly taste the tradition and care that goes into them. Kotor itself is a gem — historically rich, breathtakingly beautiful, and full of character. We were left wanting more and are already dreaming about returning to explore even deeper. Highly recommend this tour and this company — they go above and beyond to make your visit to Montenegro something truly special.

A relaxing brunch in a beautiful, historic family home nestled in the mountains - This was an outstanding experience. The prosciutto was delicious and enjoying rakija was great as well. One of the best parts of this experience, though, is the ride up the mountain and the beautiful views you get to enjoy. Unlike many of the other trips that are available in Kotor, this trip will provide you with an opportunity to visit a historical village in the mountains where the beauty of the surroundings and the mountain breezes will make your experience more unique and memorable. This is definitely an opportunity that you do now want to pass up

Outstanding tour and guide! - Everyone in the group enjoyed this tour. Dragan was very personable and we all enjoyed how he shared his life and experiences with us. His home is at the top of the serpentine road, so you get to see amazing views the whole way up and down the mountain. We felt like very welcome tourists getting to see his home and family while sampling their homemade wine, cheeses, and cured meats. This is a gem of a tour we will talk about for several years. What great people and an awesome tour. Highly recommended by everyone in our group of 8.

History and 10/10 proscuitto - Dragon and his family were so welcoming! Told us about the history of Kotor and his village, and some facts about the country. The proscuitto is the best I have ever had and they even brought more out! They get cow and goat cheese from a neighbor in the village too which was lovely. There are 2 wine options (red or white) so the real highlight here is the food plate and history. Let them guide you on best times to go - traffic in afternoon can be very bad because you have to go on a busy one way. Dragon also stopped for views on the way up!!

Mouthwatering tasting and lovely experience of a local family business! - This was a lovely experience! Communications about our pick up from the hotel were excellent and Dragan, our tour guide was very companionable, accommodating, and proud to share his knowledge of local history, his family business and village life in Njegusi. We had several stops along the Serpentine road for the breathtaking views of Kotor bay and to take photos. Dragan introduced us to his father, showed us around the smokery, explained the process for producing their prosciutto, and their rajika distillery. The tasting was delicious! Sitting outside with scenic views was quite special. Apparently, the air in Njegusi is so pure, it is the 'true air spa' where the two climates meet at 3,000ft above sea level. Wish it could be bottled and brought home, as we did with the prosciutto, cheese and wine 🤗. Local produce is always to be sampled, enjoyed and prized. The joy on the palate is best appreciated with the story of the life and soul that contributes to the final product. So, thank you to Dragan and family 😍

A great experience!! - Dragan was an amazing tour guide who patiently waited for us almost two hours, thanks to a major NCL snafu with tenders!! But he encouraged us to still come and he would have us back k to port before boarding time. He kept his promise. We loved seeing his family home and tasting the wonderful prosciutto and other items he graciously served us. We highly recommend Dragan and this tour. You will not be disappointed!!

Fantastic guide and experience!! - We had a fantastic time with Dragan on this tour to his home. He patiently waited for us (due to a BIG tender snafu on NCL!) and even though we were almost two hours late, he was there and gave us a marvelous and informative experience. Kotor is amazing, and he navigated the “snake road” like the professional he is. He proudly took us to his family’s home where we enjoyed a wonderful and delicious assortment of prosciutto, sausages, cheeses and wines! And he was able to return us to the port in time for our tender trip back. I highly recommend him and Golden Bay Tours!! Thanks, Dragan, for one of the best shoes tours we’ve ever had!

Wonderful day in Njegusi!! - Dragan was a fantastic host. From the drive up 25 Serpentine Rd, his knowledge of the country, his home with the best prosciutto we’ve ever had, his generosity, and his homemade wines, the whole time was amazing. It was a perfect way to spend our day!

A Day with Dragan - September 2024 We had a great tour of a small farm above Kotor, Montenegro. Our guide, Dragan, of Golden Bay Tours took us on an incredibly scenic ride up to his family farm, where they process prosciutto (in Slavic - Prsut). Provided a wonderful lunch up the Prsut, local cheeses, figs, olives, olive oil, and bread. Sipped on rakija, distilled at the farm, and wine. One of the best meals we had on our entire vacation. Dragan spoke and understood English wonderfully. He taught us a lot about the geography, history, and politics of Montenegro. Dragan was a pleasure to spend the day with.
