Read experience - It was a great experience. She talked about what we were cooking as we were cooking and gave us a tour of the town while our food was cooking.

10/10 recommendation - Anna was extremely nice, knowledgeable and personable. I had a great experience with great conversations and recipes to take home. I went there and got the feeling that I was apart of the family for a day which made it an extremely pleasurable experience.

Authentic, Hands-On Cooking Experience in Naxos - This Greek cooking class in Naxos was one of my favorite parts of the trip. It was held at a small family restaurant in a quiet village with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and towns. The instructor had studied in Athens and was clearly very experienced, but also super friendly and easy to talk to.
My mother-in-law and I loved how hands-on the class was. We weren’t just watching, we were chopping, mixing, and cooking the whole time. We made saganaki, zucchini balls, braised beef, and a walnut pie, and every single dish turned out delicious. We even got to take all the food home, which ended up being a full meal we enjoyed later.
The class was about four hours long and definitely worth the time and cost. I learned a lot and had a great time doing it. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Naxos who enjoys cooking or just wants a fun and meaningful activity.

Don’t miss this! - Cooking with Anna and her family was a wonderful traditional Greek experience! We cooked and ate and laughed and it felt like we were part of the family. The food was amazing and we’re going to try to make some of the recipes when we get home.

cooking fun - What a great experience! Anna was amazing. The cooking class is hands on and Anna made sure all of us did our share of the prepping and cooking. Learned some new techniques and while the main course was cooking we got a tour of the Kourounochari village - very charming. I recommend this tour to anyone that wants a hands on experience.

Nice place, good experience, not what we expected - This cooking experience was hosted by a lovely young lady. She was the daughter of the family business. The class is held at a beautiful family taverna with a gorgeous view.
My kids (15 son and 11 daughter) had a great time and loved the cooking. My husband enjoyed himself. I was a bit disappointed. I had been hoping a smaller, less touristy class would really give our family a taste of Greek culture and a sense for the cooking style. However, it seemed like the class was a bit formulaic and not very personal. The whole family was at the taverna but only Anna and sometimes her brother interacted with us, and even that was limited because of language barrier.
The recipes were fun to try. We all thought the food was just ok, but will be happy to try the recipes back at home with some tweaking.
The class was cooking four items, and included a short tour of the village. Again, we missed a lot of what was being shared about the tour, and we couldn’t understand a lot of it. However, Anna was really sweet and I believe she really is doing her best.
We wish this family and their beautiful taverna nothing but the best! However, if I were to have a chance to book again knowing what I know, I would have chosen a more well known cooking class.
