Starbucks (Avenue of Stars)
Salisbury Road
Wait by the shore in front of Starbucks / Wildfire Pizzabar, Avenue of Stars. The Pier is right outside these 2 restaurants where you find a flight of stairs leading down to the sea. Do NOT head to the pier near the Star Ferry and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Dukling does NOT dock at that pier.

Great view of light symphony - Thé staff was friendly, trop well organized, plenty of space on boat to move around and have great photo/video. The boat moved continuously so both sides of harbor can be appreciated

Authentic Boat Experience - It's much nicer to take a small authentic boat trip than in a big, modern, crowded boat. It could be hugely improved by a guide pointing out various landmarks and some history - It could be considered a bit boring and souless. The harbour is iconic and world famous so the experience of being on the water is worthwhile. It's quite a short trip. Heads up, you are told there is no queue - there is. We didn't join it and ended up boarding last, even though we were the first there 40mins earlier!

Unique - Victoria Harbour's antique boat trip is an unforgettable experience. The ship is quaintly decorated, as if turning back the clock and reliving the glory of history. During the voyage, you can see the glitzy nightscapes on both sides, especially the skyscrapers of the skyline, which are particularly charming under the lights. The tour guide's lively presentation provides a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's culture and history. In short, it's a visually satisfying and knowledgeable journey, highly recommended.

Not the Iconic Junk Boat I Expected - The boat trip itself was actually quite enjoyable. However, the sail of the boat was not red as advertised, but blue with a whisky branding on it. That was very disappointing. You only come to Hong Kong once, and there's no chance to repeat the experience, so of course you hope for what you imagined. Unfortunately, this didn’t meet those expectations.

Meh - The beautiful sails were completely covered with a white advertisement for our cruise, and we were not informed of this until after we had purchased the tickets. This was rather disappointing. The boat ride itself was nice and refreshing. The crew was also very friendly. However, the “symphony of lights” was another disappointment, as the buildings barely did anything different than they’re normally doing all night.
