Great tour of Auschwitz - small group size was perfect - We used Hello Crakow for our tour of Auschwitz Birkenau. It was a small group <15 people which was great for such an important museum. Our driver Kacper was great - prompt and polite. Our guide was excellent- very clearly and gently spoken with a respectful tone which we really appreciated. Hello Crakow communicated really well pre trip - prompt and welcoming. I would highly recommend them for this trip.

Auschwitz/Berkenau - A must see when visiting Krakow. An extremely moving and sombre experience. Everyone knows about Auschwitz from films & books, etc but to experience it in person is truly heartbreaking.

Austwicz/birkenau visit - Our driver was lovely and the transport was roomy and comfortable we also paid for a packed lunch which was delicious and plentiful. The driver picked us up on time at our chosen bus stop as they don’t offer hotel pick up. The journey to Austwicz took around 1 hr 20 minutes. When we arrived we met our lovely guide Magda and we were given an audio guide linked to our guide. The first part of out visit covered Austwicz and we were given a lot of information and shown some possessions at the museum, it was obviously a sombre but very interesting and informative and very important experience and although I’ve read a lot about the camps, I learnt a lot of information all very shocking to hear and tough at times as you cannot begin to imagine the horrors that innocent Jewish people were subjected to. Magda told us a lot of information and showed us a lot. It was eerie walking round the camp and seeing mass quantities of the prisoners hair, suitcases, shoes etc. we also looked at the buildings and were told of the disgusting conditions. We also saw where Hess the evil commander officer was hung, which to be honest we felt was far too good a punishment for him, we also saw the top of his house as he loved happily with his family next to the camp, we were also walked into the remaking gas chamber and shown how the chemicals were introduced through slats in the roof. After this camp we were given a 15 minute break for lunch/toilet then driven to camp 2 Birkenau. We were horrified and shocked at the scale of the camp. We saw the train tracks and platform where people arrived and were unloaded at the camp and we saw the terrible bunkers and disgusting conditions people were subjected to. We visited on a bright sunny day but the structure of the bunkers was so dark there was no natural light coming in and the bunks were small and cramped with up to 7 people per bunk and made to sleep on a thin layer of straw. It was shocking to see. In another block we were shown a bunker full of small cells used for torture purposes and just walking round the place felt very intense. We saw the remainder of the gas chambers which the nazis blew up to try and hide what they had been doing there. I was a strange atmosphere at this place and felt like a movie set not real life. Magda was super friendly and helpful and answered all our questions thoroughly. The whole day which from pick up to drop off took around 7 hours was well organised from beginning to end and would recommend everyone doing this just once, to experience the horrors of the camps. This is a distressing but important excursion and I think it’s a very important visit.

Would thoroughly recommend - We only had a limited time in Krakow so we organised this in advance. It was first class. The communication and organisation was superb. It’s a tough experience but something everyone should see in my opinion. Our guide had personal experience and was very, very good. Likewise our driver and the packed lunch was excellent. Many thanks. Would highly recommend.

To rushed to appreciate the experience we should have had - I am sorry to say that the whole day was poor, our time was altered, the group size was doubled because instead of a mini bus they came in a full sized coach with a different ID number on it. The guide was disorganized and kept us waiting to give us our tickets instead of handing them on out on to 2 hour ride, and then between camps we should have had a 15 minuite lunch break as soon as we had our packed lunches the coach left for the next camp so had to eat on the road. As for the two camps the guide spoke to fast and we where rushed so much we had no time to read any of the relevant information boards, I think he deliberately missed out a lot because we saw others going to a lot more places than us my overall opinion is this has nothing to do with remembering the holocaust its just about getting as many through as possible ie: THE MONEY
