Great day trip from Krakow. - I really enjoyed the Salt mine. It was a highly interesting experience learning about the history of mining salt in Poland, and the legends that interplay with that. Matthew was excellent, and also Margaret from the mine tour.

An amazing day to see the Salt mines! - The salt mines were so pretty, lots of walking and stairs, but definitely worth all of it! The mines are stunning and beautiful and the guided tour provided lots of information! Our driver to the mines, Piotr, was also really kind and very nice to talk with and ensured we have a safe journey!

Salt Mine & Transfer - Great transfer to and from the Mine - the driver was efficient friendly and communicated clearly the proceedure however once dropped off at the mine - the queuing system was chaos - we missed our ticket time due to volume of visitors and were delayed by 45 minutes. Once in the mine all was forgotten as it was fascinating and truly something that should be seen by all. When we left the mine, we had to find our guide parked up - thankfully he had left a contact number & we could google map back to the location.

Interesting for an hour… - Interesting for an hour but the tour takes two hours. It is pretty amazing, but I mean once you see a sculpture made from salt….. the other thing that was odd was that on several occasions our tour guide deflected questions about working conditions and accidents. She insisted that there had never been a big accident and that miners worked seven or eight hour days and horses were retired after ten years. The salt mine was open for hundreds of years. I would’ve appreciated a more realistic picture. Ever hear the saying “back to the salt mine”? It’s not because it was fun.

Shared Taxi Service - Not a “tour” - This “tour” was nothing more than a shared taxi service that purchased the individual ticket for you. I still had to stand in the single ticket queue for 45 minutes waiting for entry. It would have been the same just taking a taxi or the bus to get there but a lot cheaper! This is not an organized group tour as I was expecting. Once there the salt mines were absolutely amazing and way more expansive than I had expected.
