Impressive Yet Crowded Tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mine - Our tour through the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland was spectacular, thanks to our guide Marek. Although the summer crowds meant we were packed tightly together, it was manageable. We experienced bottlenecks on the stairs, within the mines, and even at the refreshment points, where a supposed 5-minute break turned into a wait of the same length just to order. The mine itself is a vast labyrinth, but Marek, with his decades of experience, expertly navigated us through. Tours are available in multiple languages, including English, German, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, and Czech. Despite the rush due to the crowds, the tour was comfortable and not physically demanding. The highlight was visiting the largest operational underground church in Europe—an awe-inspiring sight. Fortunately, taking photos is allowed and free of charge. Parking was a bit confusing, but manageable, and the souvenirs available were both interesting and beautiful.

A unique experience - The Salt Mine Wieliczka is situated in the periphery of Krakow about half an hour by car. The pick-up and drop off at the hotel were comfortable. The tour in the mine is very interesting, great. The mine is like a subterranean museum. There can be admired a number of chambers and at least two chapels. Furthermore there are possibilities to eat snacks or complete meals. With a lift you can go up to the surface in a few seconds. It is absulutely worth seeing.

Amazing salt mine tour - Visited salt mine by getting the bus number 304 near Galeria Krakow. Waited just under an hour for next available english speaking tour. Tours in english every half hour. Initially wooden staircase going down, about 380 steps, however, more like 800 in total by the time the tour ends and return to surface in narrow four storey lift. Not for faint hearted or those with mobility problems, however, shorter tour available if requested. Tour was very interesting, amazing salt carvings, not to be missed.

Work those legs! - Enjoyed this tour, worth the visit for sure. Interesting how the miners use to work and live so far down. You walk down steps into the mine bit by bit. (So many stairs). The creations are wonderful and our tour guide was lovely. (Recommend getting a guide) they even have a restaurant and bar in the mine. Lift back up to top crams about 20 people in and takes no more than 40 seconds to get back up.
