Highly recommend - Thanks to our tour guide, Simon, and our driver from providing us with a great tour. The tour van was great, clean and new. Simon provided some light-hearted jokes along the way to keep us entertained. We stopped off for a break, followed by a stop at the wooden village , then on to some cheese tasting and vodka sampling before we arrived at Zakopane. The day was just faultless, and would highly recommend using this tour company for the trip.

Zakopane trip - Excellent trip. Niko was Excellent guide providing a very informative narrative along the way. Unfortunately my daughter had arranged to be on the same bus as me as I am in my 70's with some mobility issues and was staying in the same hotel as me but this plan fell apart late the previous evening when the pick up details were different for us and despite her best efforts could not be changed as the office was closed. Apart from that it was a very good trip.

Lovely views - The trip was good however the part of zakopane we went to in the few hours we had there was very commercialised. Would return and explore the less central parts.

Niko was a fantastic tour... - Niko was a fantastic tour guide and I would recommend however we were put on a trip with people that had booked a different experience and did the thermal baths. This meant we had an extra 3 hours in Zakopane whilst they went to the baths. Whilst this was accommodating we purposely didn’t book the trip with the baths and didn’t think we would be waiting around for those that did. Niko however was really helpful and responsive and was great.

Tour not as described, make sure to do research. - Marco was the highlight of this tour for us! He is friendly, charismatic and will go out of his way to make sure you are having a good time. He is the reason that our rating was a 4 instead of a 3 star. Things I wish I would have known: 1. We were the only 2 out of a bus of 22 to purchase this specific Viator experience. Every other person that was on the bus had a different booking that included a thermal spa experience. We had no idea of this option as it wasn’t part of this specific Viator tour, and we weren’t aware that they would ALL be doing this until the day before, and we didn’t pack swimwear. We also didn’t want to panic buy swimwear, so we spent an extra 1.5 hour in Zakopane while everyone else was at the spa. 2. This description and pictures of this tour make it look like you are going to be spending time in a small town, but Zakopane is a very busy ski tourist location that is FULL of people- at least it was in when we visited in January. The whole town was jammed packed of people and was not a relaxing experience. 3. Make sure to wear thick layers and snow boots. The entire city was full of snow and slush, and we weren’t aware it would be that way, so we wore sneakers. Our feet were super wet and cold by the ends of the day- it would be fine if you have appropriate attire. We just didn’t know better. Things we really liked: 1. We really enjoyed seeing the traditional Polish house. It was a cool way to experience the local culture. 2. We loved Oscypek (the smoked cheese dish) and it was widely available in Zakopane as well as the sample that we did with the group. 3. Despite the spa option not being available when we booked, Marco was great at trying to amend the situation and made sure that we were having a good time. He did offer to help us find last minute swimwear and offered to add the thermal spa ticket onto this booking, but we really weren’t prepared to join. We had a good time despite the issue in the booking. 4. We loved the local restaurants in Zakopane. There were some great traditional polish options!
