Great value for money - A packed day, first a long boat then a small canoe with an excellent boatman. Taking us under huge rocks into small lagoons, calming and fun, especially when you have to lie right back so you don’t bang your head. Then onto James Bond Island, the floating village, lunch and then the huge monkey cave with the reclining Buddha and lots of monkeys. Great value for money and Emma our guide was excellent as was Mr Kim our driver.

Do it! - We would highly recommend this trip. Purchased through TripAdvisor, got a great price for the amount of activities, sites, and transportation that was involved. To help others who are considering this trip, we were picked up in the Karon beach area, made a few stops to pick up other couples at other hotels in the area. Then it was a nearly 2 hour trip to our first stop (we did have a restroom stop in that period before reaching the final stop.). At the monkey cave that contains the lying golden Buddha, shoulders must be covered and shorts to the knees are accepted. If you are sleeveless or your shorts are high, we were given a material poncho to wear while in the temple. There are lots of steps and uneven ground so wear shoes that can handle that terrain. We felt the lunch that was offered at Pay-nee at the city on stilts was good. Buffet, all you can eat, any type of soda was extra. James Bond Island was interesting, there are some small shopping booths, again depending on how adventuresome you are, you can climb up into the rock. Final stop was at a kayak canoe operation, which was optional. If you chose to do the kayak, there is someone who does the paddling -maximum of a couple in a boat with the paddler, the cost was ฿100 per couple and you we’re paddled to caves. That lasted about 30 minutes and was enjoyed. Our driver was very good and we had Happy as our guide who was also excellent. Long day, but recommend!

James Bond island tour - We had a private transfer provided by the tour company who picked us up promptly and on time. Once we had arrived at the long boat terminal we waited for the rest of the group to arrive, on the day we had a group of 27 people. Emma the tour guide tried her best to keep us all together and on time throughout the day. We had to pay park entrance fee and transfer fee at this time. First stop the cave's for a short kayak around before heading onto James Bond island the main attraction. It was busy, as to be expected, but you could at least get a few photos. A few tacky shops selling knick knacks don't help. Then onto the floating island and lunch (it was cold) probably left without covers before we arrived. After lunch a short time to look around and do a shop, before heading back to the boat terminal, back into your transfer to set off to the temple and monkeys. Could have done with a bit more time on the floating island. Overall time was around 6 hours for the trip taking everything in that was included, a busy day. Well worth it if you have the time.

James Bond island..... - Pick up and transfer from the hotel to the boat. Then a 45 minute trip to the kayak stop and trip around the cave's. Quick hop over to 'James Bond' island for a photo shoot and paddle or swim your choice. Then onto the floating Muslin village for lunch and a quick look around the shops. Before the longboat back to the pier and transfer to the Budda temple and monkeys.... Overall a good day was had and 'Emma' are guide did well to control the group... Only comment, we could maybe have had a bit longer at the floating village for looking around.

The experience as a whole... - The experience as a whole was great. The usual Thailand organised chaos tourists cattle experience but was kept to a minimum. Make sure you check the pickup location. I spend an extra 400baht to share a taxi with another couple to travel 35 minutes in the wrong direction, just to spend another two hours on a bus. Total of 800 Baht for a 200 baht journey. Was going to be a similar journey home but abandoned and took a taxi home as really had not prepared for a 12 hour day. Ovér 2 hours in a delapafated bus where the seats would only stay in the fully reclined position was too much. The 250ml of water offererd help a bit. Thank god somebody needed a comfort breat so we could buy more liquid. Trip was not as advertised. No mention of swimming or kayaking so was completely un prepared. To be fair the kayaking was great fun and missing 20 mins in the sea was no great loss. If the organisers were honest about the travel arrangements I would not have booked but we old give it 4 stars if I had known what to expect.
